Your request has been considered under the above legislation. You have requested the following information: Details of celebrity/personal appearances at council run talks, events, conferences, dinners, etc. over the past five financial years (2010/11 to 2014/15) to date, inclusive. This covers both internal private events (for example motivational talks for staff) and public events (eg opening of a new swimming pool, Christmas light switch-on, etc.). For each event, please provide information about: • The date and name/type of event that the special guest was invited to • The name of the invited guest. Celebrity, in this context, is any speaker who was specifically invited to attend from motivational speakers through to soap stars, war veterans and other notable people. • The amount that was paid (including any expenses), and whether it was requested to be paid to charity. Please find attached sheets showing the information requested from financial years 2012/2014. We are unable to send you data prior to the financial year 2012/2013 as these events were not run by the Council; we are informing you of this as required by Section 1(1) (a) of the FOIA.
