TOMBALL TWO-STEPS INTO SPRING AT HONKY TONK MUSIC FESTIVAL

Country Pop may rule the radio dial today, but lovers of old style can rejoice this spring when the City of Tomball presents the 2nd annual Tomball Honky Tonk Music Festival on Saturday, March 16, 2013.

The Tomball Honky Tonk Music Festival will bring back the days of Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, and other Country greats at the historic Depot Plaza in old downtown Tomball, .

Headlining the 2013 festival is Austin’s Dale Watson, the maverick country traditionalist with a recording career spanning two decades.

The hardwood dance floor sound of Miss Leslie & Her Juke Jointers is nothing short of a flashback to the golden age of Country music, and Texas favorite Amber Digby & Midnight Flyer will wrap up the day of two-steppin’ fun along the railroad tracks.

Country Jim & His Country All-Stars opens the festival featuring veteran performers who have shared a concert stage with Honky Tonk greats such as Johnny Bush, Doug Supernaw, and Hank Jr..

There will be tasty southern treats from Snookie’s Fish Camp, Mel’s Country Cafe and more, along with vendors to explore, and activities for the kids. Admission and parking are free. And, while in Tomball be sure to check out the many unique shops and tasty mom-and-pop restaurants and tea rooms throughout downtown.

The Tomball Honky Tonk Music Festival is Saturday, March 16th from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Depot Plaza, 201 South Elm Street in downtown Tomball.
