Dear Collector, I wish to welcome you to UN Postal Administration’s 2015 stamp programme. We have been working diligently and we hope you will enjoy both the themes and the stamp designs. From an Endangered Species issue on Birds of Paradise to an issue on the 70th Anniversary of the United Nations, 2015 promises to be an interesting year in stamps for UNPA. We are scheduled to return to our offices in the General Assembly building here in Headquarters sometime in January 2015. We anticipate that our renovated shop will be open then and we look forward to seeing you in the new updated Visitors Area. The Lunar Calendar series continues with a sheet for the Year of the Ram. This year’s Greetings sheet is a change from previous years. A sheet from our Vienna office will be released first rather than a New York sheet. In February the eighth edition of the Coin and Flag series will be issued. This will be the last issue with 24 stamps. For future issues, when there are eight new member states, a new sheet Edward Hynes will be released. Officer-in-Charge Later, in March we will celebrate World Poetry Day with an issue of six miniature sheets. The United Nations Postal Administration intent of the day is to foster the reading and teaching of poetry throughout the world. The six official languages of the United Nations are represented on each sheet through poetry by famous poets. Our new website has finally been launched and we thank you for your encouraging and helpful comments. Now I would like to thank all of my colleagues here in UNPA for their support in the past year. I have been fortunate to work with some excellent people. I wish to thank you all for your interest and support to the United Nations stamp programme.

As part of the renovation project for the General Assembly Building at United Nations Headquarters in New York, the UNPA Stamp Shop has been relocated to a temporary Visitor's Centre in the Dag Hammarskjöld Library on the south end of the campus. Due to security limitations, visitors are not allowed into the Centre without prior notice of arrival. To schedule a visit to the UNPA Stamp Shop, please call 001-212-963-7698 (or 1-800-234-8672) for access instructions. A Government issued picture ID will be required for entry.
