More Public Elementary Schools Benefit from DLSL’s Book Loan Program The Community Involvement Office (CIO) continues to make reading accessible to the less fortunate students in Lipa City. Through its Book Loan project, the CIO helps public elementary school students in Lipa City learn valuable reading skills. Now in its fourth year, the Book Mobile and Reading Program (BMRP) Book Loan has effectively reached out to more beneficiaries. This literacy campaign is part of De La Salle Lipa’s advocacy of promoting learning proficiency among the youth. Its launch last November was in time for the Reading Month and Children’s Month. This was one way for DLSL to provide some form of assistance to families displaced by the recent violence in Mindanao. At the same time, this act of generosity was a way for the DLSL community to instill the value of sharing and social responsibility among the Lasallian community as well as gain the trust and confidence of Muslim brothers and sisters.
