Zo ‘flikte’ Heren 11 het voor de tweede keer op rij en knoopte Heren 2 er ook maar meteen een Zilveren Landskampioentitel aan vast. De senioren kampioenen: Heren11 &2 ! Heren 11 HEREN 11... Op de laatste speeldag van de competitie 2003/2004 werd Heren 11 als kersverse promovendus kampioen in de reserve 2e klasse. Een fantastische prestatie, niet in de laatste plaats vanwege het feit dat het team in dezelfde samenstelling ook vorig seizoen kampioen werd, toen van een klasse lager. Heren 11 (www.herenxi.tk) laat daarmee zien dat talent bij onze club HC ’s-Hertogenbosch niet alleen hockeyt in selectieteams, maar ook in de Heren 2 teams die daaronder actief zijn. Zes jaar geleden werd Heren 11 gevormd door tien Bossche A-jeugd spelers HEREN 2... die door de Technische Commissie samengebracht werden met een zestal In de eerste wedstrijd om het Landskampioenschap meer ervaren spelers. Heren 18 werd ‘geboren’. Deze combinatie pakte goed moest Heren 2 aantreden tegen GSHC 3. ‘We’ wonnen dit uit, en Heren 18 werd in het debuutseizoen meteen kampioen. In min of meer ruim met 8 - 0. Bij de tweede wedstrijd, tegen Nijmegen dezelfde samenstelling heeft men ondertussen in zes seizoenen maar liefst 2, moest er duidelijk iets steviger aan worden getrokken, drie keer het kampioenschap veroverd, zonder te degraderen! Heren 11 komt maar uiteindelijk leverde ook die partij winst op: 3 - 1. komend seizoen uit in de reserve 1e klasse. Helaas hield de fraaie zegetocht daar op. De laatste Freek van Vlerken, coach en aanvoerder van Heren 11: “Het mooie aan wedstrijd tegen Pinoké werd namelijk in het voordeel van hockeyclub ’s-Hertogenbosch is dat je zo’n mooie mix hebt aan prestatie- de tegenstander besloten. Pinoké was, evenals vorig jaar, hockey en gezelligheid. Dit komt optimaal tot uitdrukking in Heren 11. Wij sterker en behaalde daarom verdiend en wederom de hebben spelers die opgeleid zijn in de Bossche jeugd, waar ze de vaardig- landstitel. Zilver voor onze Heren van 2 dus. Een absolute heden hebben geleerd om te kunnen hockeyen en te kunnen winnen. Dit topprestatie, vooral gezien de vernieuwing en verjonging hockeytalent wordt gecombineerd met de bekende Bossche sfeer en van het team dit seizoen. gezelligheid die zo kenmerkend zijn voor onze club. Dit derde kampioenschap in zes jaar tijd mag dus ook zeker gezien worden als een pluim voor het Heren, HC ’s-Hertogenbosch heft voor u de hoed bestuur en organisatie van de club!” en zegt: TOP!! Hartsticke Bosch 5 TOP HOCKEY Eerst maar het antwoord op de vraag of het elk jaar weer mooi is… Namens het hele team kan ik volmondig zeggen: JA! Dit is wat we ons elk jaar ten doel stellen en als het dan lukt is dat gewoon fantastisch. Elk jaar heeft zijn eigen bijzondere momenten. Zo ook dit jaar: een lastig begin (2-2 KZ uit), een heel goed vervolg (9-0 Kampong thuis), een ouderwetse Top Carnaval (ontluikende liefdes en veel slechte teksten), een (traditionele?) slechte start na de winterstop (1-1 HGC uit) en... een FANTASTICH einde! Vera, Willy, Pauline, EEN TERUGBLIK OP AGEETH Rosa en Carlien, jullie hebben allemaal je steentje Ageeth Boomgaardt. ‘Boom’ voor intimi. Niet alleen bijgedragen aan het kampioenschap. Dat jullie met koningin van de sleepcorner maar ook van de one-liners. Meisjes A1 ondertussen ook al het onoverwinnelijke Op veertienjarige leeftijd maakte zij de overstap van imago krijgen is super en zo hoort het ook. Gefeliciteerd! HOCO, Oisterwijk naar HC ’s-Hertogenbosch. In die tijd was Dames 1 nog een topper in de Overgangsklasse. K OMEN EN GAAN Maar niet voor lang, want zij werden kampioen en En waar jonkies komen, nemen bekende ‘cracks’ ook promotie naar de Hoofdklasse was een feit. Ook toen afscheid. Lieke Schellekens en Ageeth Boomgaardt waren grote uitslagen aan de orde, alleen vaak in ons stoppen ermee. Voor Lieke komt dat moment na vijf jaar nadeel: 11-1 en 12-0; Amsterdam uit was toen nog lastig..
