Charlie Binns

We are delighted to announce the signing of creative midfielder Charlie Binns. The former York City, Histon and Gainsborough Trinity man has been training with The Brewers and has featured for TAFC in pre-season friendlies against Pickering Town, Spenny- moor Town and Tadcaster Magnets. “I can’t wait to get started with a club that has the same ambitions and drive to succeed as I do. It’s a great club with the team, staff and behind the scenes staff doing things professionally and that’s what enticed me to want to join the club” said Binns. “In the upcoming season there is no reason with the squad we have that we can’t upset a few teams and finish in the top half of the table or even higher. Top 8 would be a great effort from the lads, but first and foremost hard work needs to be a must to achieve anything this season.” “Personally I want to help the team achieve the targets and goals set and hopefully play as much as possible and stay injury free throughout the season.”

Lewis Morgan

New Signing Lewis Morgan has been with Taddy throughout pre-season and manager Billy Miller has seen enough in the defender to put pen to paper. “The move came about when I was at Albion Sports last season. When I was there I played against Tadcaster three times in the season and after the last game Billy rang me and invited me in to train- ing.” Morgan is a tough tackling player who never shies away from a 50/50 challenge. He has been used at centre-half so far in pre-season but is also comfortable in central midfield, as we saw first-hand against us last season for Albion Sports. “I am really happy about moving to Tadcaster. It’s a club that is certainly going in the right direction and they have a fantastic set-up in place.” “In terms of goals and objectives; for the team I just hope that we can meet our targets or even better them.”

Fatlum Ibrahimi

“The move came about at the beginning of pre-season. I spoke to Billy about various things and one of those was the possibility of coming to play for him again and here we are now.” Ibrahimi has been on trial since the start of pre-season but there was never a doubt in Miller’s mind that he was going to put pen to paper. “It’s an exciting feeling. I know from speaking to people in and around it that it’s a club that is certainly going in the right direction” Ibrahimi said. Ibrahimi has clear goals on what he personally wants to achieve as well as team objec- tives for the upcoming season. “I would like to achieve a top 8 finish. I feel like we have a more than capable squad to be successful and compete in this league. I would be lying if I said I wouldn’t like to be challenging for the league because as a player we are all competitive and want to win leagues and cups. Realistically though, it is a very tough league so we need to work extremely hard to get into the position to challenge.” “On a personal level I want to hit good form early on and contribute to the team as much as possible. And with that I need to be adding more goals to my game but that will hopefully come along the way.” “But most importantly I just want to enjoy the season with the lads and win as many games as possible for Tadcaster Albion.”
