An Adventure Beyond Art, Myths, and Everyday Life in Europe 2013 – 2017 Meeting the Odyssey is a social and artistic collaborative project sailing from the Baltic to the Mediterranean Sea. Each summer from 2014 to 2016, artists and organizers from different European countries will travel together, giving workshops and performing theater pieces. The project will combine elements of the Odyssey, contemporary themes relevant to Europe and stories collected through exchanges with the local population. But Meeting the Odyssey is also a journey in itself: bringing people together through long term collaboration, and discovering new artistic landscapes and cultural attitudes to develop synergies at the European level.. Project ambition What is Europe today? Who are the people living in Europe compared to who they were? What is their personal Odyssey? This project asks: what is the common Europe behind the commitment of the European Union? Is there a common ground based on culture and daily life? How can we be reminded of our common roots? The project aims to decrease prejudices and to create a shared narrative that comes out of the stories of the people in Europe today, through the frame of the legend of Odysseus. For a meaningful discussion about a sustainable and inclusive European culture and a creative future, we need to cross national borders to meet people from different contexts with different perspectives on Europe. The beautiful villa was built at the end of XVII century in a natural basin between lake and mountains. The architect created for the Clericis an important but sober building, with an Italian garden decorated with sculptures, stairs and fountains. In 1801 Gian Battista Sommariva, famous politician, businessman and patron of arts, bought the villa. Thanks to him, the villa attained the summit of its splendour and became one of the most important halting-place of the Grand Tour with its collection of art (masterpieces of Canova, Thorvaldsen and Hayez) and its fascinating romantic garden. In the second half of the century Princess Marianne of Nassau bought the villa and gave it as a present to her daughter Carlotta in occasion of her wedding. Her husband was passionate about botany and made a lot of improvements and new additions to the park that became more famous for its botanical richness and the rhododendrons’ and azaleas spring flowering. Oggiono - Annone B.za March 2018 (IIIth Edition) 2 INTRODUCTION The 2018 edition of the cultural tourist itineraries “SIMPLe Ways from the museums to the territory” is only one of many initiatives to help visitors rediscover and enjoy the rich and varied cultural heritage of the province of Lecco. This publication aims to provide the visitor with interest- ing ways to discover the collections in the Lecco Museum System, which counts a total of 30 museums to date. The aim is also to lead the visitor to extend their visit to the area itself with all its heritage sites and multifaceted beauty so that it becomes the real museum to explore. We have created a virtuous network of itineraries which allow local or tourist to visit the area and enjoy the landscape and natural surroundings with an increased awareness of the historic, artistic and architectural heritage. Case turistiche: più compravendite a Varenna e Abbadia | 1 Una veduta di Abbadia Lariana ABBADIA / VARENNA / LECCO – Cresce, pur lievemente rispetto al 2015, il volume di compravendite per il mercato residenziale turistico degli immobili nel lecchese, in un contesto dove l’offerta si è lievemente ridotta. E’ quanto emerge nel report dell’Ufficio Studi Gabetti su dati Gabetti, Professionecasa e Grimaldi. Nel 2016 le località monitorate sul Lario sono state contrassegnate da dinamiche differenti a seconda delle specifiche zone. Il ramo comasco, complessivamente più positivo per quello che ha riguardato l’andamento delle transazioni, ha visto anche una ripresa della domanda turistica, grazie alla maggiore presenza di interessanti soluzioni in termini di rapporto qualità/prezzo. Per quanto riguarda il ramo di Lecco, si segnala una buona richiesta turistica per Varenna, Mandello del Lario, e Lierna. Sulla sponda lecchese si è complessivamente riscontrata una stabilità delle quotazioni ad eccezione di Lierna, dove si è rilevata una lieve flessione. Varenna I tempi medi di vendita si sono attestati intorno ai 6-7 mesi, mentre gli sconti in sede di chiusura hanno una invece media del 10-12%. Sulle cinque municipalità che idealmente abbiamo collocato in questa macro area Ballabio e Pescate si sono dichiarate contrarie alla fusione, mentre il piccolo comune di Morterone, ai piedi del Resegone, non ha escluso l’idea di fondersi con una realtà più vasta quale quella di Lecco; favorevole anche il dirimpettaio comune di Malgrate. Chi ci sta? ) Nel dettaglio le posizioni dei rispettivi sindaci: BALLABIO (4.082 abitanti) – Alessandra Consonni (No): “La fusione dei Comuni è, apparentemente, una soluzione vantaggiosa che, all’atto pratico, comporta un prezzo altissimo: la cancellazione di realtà che, in molti, casi vantano una storia antica di molti secoli, spesso millenni. Fusioni indiscriminate tra Comuni calpestano cultura e identità, ovvero quei fattori che contribuiscono in maniera decisiva a formare e consolidare il senso di appartenenza ad una comunità. Dal punto di vista del risparmio, appare risibile tagliare i pochi miseri gettoni di presenza dei consiglieri o il modesto compenso di sindaci e assessori, quando il governo romano brucia cifre astronomiche per mantenere soggetti stranieri spediti, magari, in quegli stessi comuni in cui si vorrebbe “economizzare” sopprimendo la rappresentanza politica. Cancellare i municipi fa parte del progetto di globalizzazione portato avanti con le varie politiche che mirano alla soppressione delle identità locali. D’altro canto, credo che sia utile e virtuoso mettere in comune, potenziandoli, servizi tra realtà contigue: a Ballabio lo stiamo facendo e, a breve, conto di poter fornire importanti novità al riguardo. -

RistoLecco: 42 locali aderiscono, piatti tipici per celebrare Expo | 1 LECCO – E’ ampiamente positivo il bilancio del primo mese di “RistoLecco-Gusti e sapori della Provincia di Lecco” l’iniziativa promossa da Confcommercio Lecco e inserita nel progetto “ExpoLake: green, healthy, smart land”. La manifestazione ha infatti visto finora la partecipazione di ben 42 ristoranti che hanno aderito con convinzione ed entusiasmo alla proposta che punta a promuovere le eccellenze gastronomiche del territorio lecchese dando visibilità agli operatori e ai prodotti e ai piatti locali. La kermesse, che proseguirà fino all’1 novembre, prevede che ogni ristorante proponga menù tipici a 30 euro (vini esclusi).
