The ongoing fighting reportedly resulted in the new displacement of 2,500 households (about 17,500 people) in Kunduz and Takhar provinces. Also, 1.13B 18 civilians were reportedly killed and 27 others wounded by clashes across the Requirements (US$) – HRP north-east. According to local Government authorities, a public school was 2020 impacted by an airstrike in Khanabad, Kunduz province which resulted in the 339.3M deaths of 15 civilians and wounded 14 others including women and children. This week, interagency assessment teams identified 864 households (approximately 30% funded (US$) in 2020 6,048 people) displaced by conflict to receive humanitarian assistance in AFGHANISTAN HUMANITARIAN Badakhshan, Baghlan, Kunduz and Takhar provinces. Humanitarian assistance FUND (AHF) 2020 reached 1,089 people affected by conflict in Baghlan, Kunduz and Takhar provinces. In addition, 1,043 vulnerable and food-insecure people were reached 41.94M with humanitarian assistance in Kunduz province. -

The project will cover trauma care and referrals for war wounded, obstetrical and other emergency patients through the establishment of 5 integrated FATP centers located in Maywand, Shawalikot, Arghistan. Khakrez and Zhari. The referral mechanism for patients in critical condition will be ensured through the addition of extra ambulances in the 7 CHC's of the districts targeted. To provide basic health services in underserved communities,YHDO and BARAN will enable 7 mobile health teams that will be deployed in white areas and high IDP's and nomadic population concentration areas. These mobile teams will offer basic health services, nutrition promotion, malnutrition detection and treatment plus referrals to therapeutic feeding centers if needed, as well as psychosocial support and referrals when indicated (GBV and MHPSS cases). YHDO and BARAN will combine their expertises to maximize the positive impacts of the project. -
Description of Main Accomplishments, Overall Performance and Impact Of
FINAL PROGRAM REPORT Project Title: Multi-sector emergency response for Kandahar province for the conflict affected population (IDPs, returnees, vulnerable (host) communities) Agreement Reference Number: AID-OFDA-G-17-00224 Reporting Period: 14th August 2017 to 30th September 2018 Description of main accomplishments, overall performance and impact of the project: HEALTH AND NUTRITION ACCOMPLISHMENTS: After the recruitment process and negotiation with the local DoPH (Department of Public Health) for the allocation of the target villages, INTERSOS health and nutrition teams have deployed in the field starting from December 2017. The first two teams deployed have been Zheray and Spin Boldak, followed by Maywand in January 2018. Since then the teams been regularly deployed both in the target HFs and in the areas covered by the mobile clinics in the districts of Zheray, Maywand and Spin Boldak. During the last month (September) the MHTs have been doubled in number with the purpose of covering the increased needs in the districts caused by the drought. INTERSOS has covered drugs and medical supplies’ needs with its own funds during the whole implementation period of the project; this was due to the fact that BARAN, local BPHS implementer, could not meet its commitment to provide drugs and supplies due to scarcity of the same. Capacity building of the medical teams, both MHT and HF-based, has been provided during the full implementation period – more details are presented in the concerned section. In terms of nutrition, INTERSOS MHTs have provided screening and referral services, while the running of the OTP services was hampered by the lack of RUTF and the impossibility of the BPHS implementer to meet its commitment of providing outreach teams with such supplies (see further explanation in the amendment request). -

UNITED NATIONS UNITED NATIONS ASSISTANCE MISSION IN AFGHANISTAN UNAMA CIVILIAN CASUALTIES DURING 2007 Introduction: The figures contained in this document are the result of reports received and investigations carried out by UNAMA, principally the Human Rights Unit, during 2007 and pursuant to OHCHR’s monitoring mandate. Although UNAMA’s invstigations pursue reliability through the use of generally accepted procedures carried out with fairness and impartiality, the full accuracy of the data and the reliability of the secondary sources consulted cannot be fully guaranteed. In certain cases, and due to security constraints, a full verification of the facts is still pending. Definition of terms: For the purpose of this report the following terms are used: “Pro-Governmental forces ” includes ISAF, OEF, ANSF (including the Afghan National Army, the Afghan National Police and the National Security Directorate) and the official close protection details of officials of the IRoA. “Anti government elements ” includes Taliban forces and other anti-government elements. “Other causes ” includes killings due to unverified perpetrators, unexploded ordnances and other accounts related to the conflict (including border clashes). “Civilian”: A civilian is any person who is not an active member of the military, the police, or a belligerent group. Members of the NSD or ANP are not considered as civilians. Grand total of civilian casualties for the overall period: The grand total of civilian casualties is 1523 of which: • 700 by Anti government elements. •
