15-11-2017 14:03 CET Stone Temple Pilots tilbake med ny vokalist og rykende fersk musikk Det er ti år siden vi sist hørte noe fra Stone Temple Pilots, men i dag bryter de stillheten og introduserer Jeff Gutt som bandets nye vokalist med låta «Meadow». Stone Temple Pilots ble etablert i 1989 i San Diego, California, og står bak hitlåter som «Plush», «Interstate Love Song», «Big Empty» og «Between the Lines». Bandet bemerket seg tidlig på 1990-tallet som et av tidenes mest kommersielt vellykkede band på verdenbasis, og mottok i 1994 Grammy Awards for Best Hard Rock Perfomance. De har også mottatt Billboard Music Awardfor #1 Rock Song of The Year, samt MTV Music Awards for Best Alternative Video med «Plush»I 1993 og «Big Empty» i 1995. I forbindelse med at bandet etter ti år vender tilbake på scenen ble det holdt en privatkonsert i Los Angelses der de introduserte deres nye tilskudd til bandet, vokalist Jeff Gutt.Gutt er musikk-veteran fra Detroit, og har tidligere skrevet låter for flere av bandets medlemmer. Gutt har også blitt kåret til one of the most 'influential' X Factor USA contestants of all-time av FoxWeekly, etter hans deltagelse i programmet i 2013 og 2014. På privatkonserten fremførte bandet deres nye singel, dagens utgivelse «Meadow», som også vil kunne høres på det foreløpig tittelløse Stone Temple Pilots-albumet som slippes våren 2018. «Meadow» kan i dag høres på alle digitale plattformer. The July 4th concert, which will be held at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, is part of the scheduled festivities surrounding the holiday. According to the official website of the United States Navy, 26 nations, 47 surface ships, five submarines, 18 national land forces, and more than 200 aircraft and 25,000 personnel will be participating in the biennial exercise. Not only U.S. military personnel who are involved with the exercise but also those who are stationed at nearby bases typically attend the celebratory concert. Audiences for the special performance will also consist of military personnel from the participating nations, which include Australia, Brazil, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Colombia, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Israel, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Peru, the Republic of Korea, the Republic of the Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Tonga, the United Kingdom and Vietnam. This highly-anticipated performance is part of AFE’s “Heat Wave” tour series, which will be starting in late June and span the 4th of July timeframe.
