In 1995, while working as monitor engineer for the band Van Halen, Alex Van Halen tasked Jerry Harvey with finding the best available in-ear options to move their monitors from the floor into their ears.

When none proved worthy, Jerry utilized his experience with large arena sound systems to engineer the first 2-way, custom-fit in-ear monitors. Before long, word spread and Harvey was designing and manufacturing in-ear monitors for musicians and audiophiles around the world.

Layla will replicate detail of instruments in a way that makes it feel like the musicians are in the room with you.

As the first reference/mastering IEM from Jerry Harvey, Layla’s bass response is perfectly flat when turned down and has +13db of boost at 60Hz when fully turned up. Layla has the most sophisticated crossover network ever put into an IEM. The shape of all crossover filters are all 4th order.

We recommend Layla for performers who want a pure sound and loads of detail. Also recommended for engineers mastering or studio work. For the audiophile, Layla is the perfect earpiece. A flat, accurate sound with a lot of headroom. A suitable home hifi replacement on the go.
