Day 1 Sunday 23 June Paris Bonjour and welcome to Paris! On arrival, transfer to your hotel where you have the remainder of today to rest. Dinner is at the hotel this evening. (D)

Day 2 Monday 24 June Paris One full day to explore the city that's known throughout the world for its fashions, art and museums, delicious food, and joie de vivre. In the included sightseeing with a local expert are many of the best-known Parisian sites: La Sorbonne, Arc de Triomphe, Opera, Madeleine, the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre Pyramid, the Invalides, and Champs Elysees. We finish at the Eiffel Tower and suggestions and optional excursions will be provided by your Tour Director for the afternoon.

Day 3 Tuesday 25 June Paris: Excursion to Giverny & the Palace of Versailles Travel through the picturesque Seine Valley to GIVERNY, former home of artist Claude Monet, founder of the French Impressionist movement. With an expert guide, stroll through his gardens past the iconic lily pond and stand on the Japanese bridge immortalized in some of his most beloved works. Then, enjoy free time to explore his beautifully restored house, the studio where he created some of his masterpieces, and the nearby Museum of Impressionism. Next is an included lunch of fine local cuisine and fresh seasonal produce at Moulin de Fourges, a charming restaurant in an historic 18th-century mill on the Epte River. Finally, continue to Louis XIV’s opulent PALACE OF VERSAILLES. Led by an expert Local Guide, stroll through the incredible State Apartments, magnificent Hall of Mirrors, and the elegant 250-acre gardens. (B, L)

Day 4 Wednesday 26 June Paris – Reims - Metz Drive to Reims, city of champagne, and enjoy a highlight CHAMPAGNE EXPERIENCE with sabrage (saber). Also recognised by UNESCO, 's Champagne region is celebrated for its specialised artisan activity that has become an agro-industrial enterprise. Next, visit the impressive NOTRE DAME DE REIMS CATHEDRAL, where the Kings of France were crowned. Considered one of the most beautiful examples of gothic art, the 800-year-old cathedral was one of the first monuments registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Later, arrive in Metz, located at the confluence of the Moselle and Seine Rivers. Enjoy an orientation of this 3,000-year-old city and visit its magnificent gothic CATHEDRAL, famous for its glass-stained windows. (B, D)

Day 5 Thursday 27 June Metz – Saint-Avold – Strasbourg - Colmar Stop in St. Avold for a visit to the largest American Military WWII Cemetery in Europe, the LORRAINE AMERICAN CEMETERY & MEMORIAL. Next, enter the Alsace region and arrive in Strasbourg, where the European Parliament has its plenary sessions four days each month. A BOAT CRUISE is the best way to see Strasbourg with its LITTLE FRANCE DISTRICT and the impressive European Union institutions. Continue to Colmar. (B)

Day 6 Friday 28 June Colmar Explore Colmar and the famous LITTLE VENICE district with its half-timbered houses by LITTLE TRAIN. Enjoy your afternoon at leisure before a culinary highlight for dinner, in the fairytale village of Eguisheim. Led by your tour director, stroll along the medieval cobblestone lanes, admiring Renaissance fountains, grand manor homes, brightly painted half- timbered houses, and the resident storks for which the town is famous. Be sure to take note of the three castle ruins looming above the town, as well as the abundant flowers decorating nearly every building—for more than 30 years, Eguisheim has received a 4- Flower Rating in France’s National Floral Awards! After your tour, stop at a local restaurant for a traditional dinner featuring the Alsace region’s renowned tarte flambé! (B, D)

Day 7 Saturday 29 June Colmar – Dijon

Today we travel to Dijon, capital of Burgundy. During your orientation, hear about the various dukes who ruled over the area, then there is time to browse the shops and enjoy this charming city. (B)

Day 8 Sunday 30 June Dijon – Blois - Chateaux Country Visit picturesque Blois with its renaissance castle, once occupied by Louis XII. Then continue your journey to the Loire Valley. A chance this evening to join an optional dinner at a local restaurant. (B)

Day 9 Monday 01 July Chateaux Country – La Rochelle – Cognac - Bordeaux Enjoy some time in the picturesque town of La Rochelle, situated on the Atlantic coast. Continue eastwards into the world-famous Cognac region to visit the HENNESSY MUSEUM in Cognac. Join your Tour Director for a walking tour through this pretty city on the Garonne River. Tonight, savour dinner with wine at the well-known Brasserie Bordelaise restaurant. (B, D)

Day 10 Tuesday 02 July Bordeaux – Perigueux - Limoges We stop this morning in Perigueux, which is known for its landmark Saint-Front Cathedral, with domes and turrets and it is part of the World Heritage Sites of Routes of Santiago de Compostela. After some free time to discover more of this pretty area, we travel to Limoges, our destination for the next 6 nights. (B)

Day 11 Wednesday 03 July Limoges We make a visit to the factory shop of ROYAL LIMOGES, which is the oldest existing porcelain shop in Limoges today. The factory has been operating since 1797 and still makes its own clay today! Enjoy the remainder of today at leisure. (B)

Day 12 Thursday 04 July Limoges: Le Dorat It is fete day in Le Dorat! Attend the opening of the World Shearing Championships today and enjoy tour of Le Dorat. The rest of the day is free to explore the markets and entertainment. Admission Tickets included. (B)

Day 13 Friday 05 July Limoges: Excursion to Montrol-Senard, Mortemart & Oradour-sur-Glane A journey of 3 French villages today, to discover more of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of France. We begin with Montrol- Senard, a village that is a testament of years gone by. As we wander through the streets you will discover the living spaces, classrooms and barns that have been restored to emphasise traditions of the past. The monasteries in Mortemart are the focal point of our visit, as 2 of the 3 monasteries built in the 14th century still survive today. A somber stop awaits in Oradour-sur-Glane, as in 1944 the entire city was massacred by Nazi German troops. A new village was built after the war on a nearby site, but the original site has been kept as a permanent memorial. Visit the MEMORIAL CENTRE OF ORADOUR, to reflect on this horrific act. (B)

Day 14 Saturday 06 July Limoges Enjoy today at leisure. Included optionals in Le Dorat: Cook the local pastry delicacy – Macrons with chef Monsieur Emmanuel. Admission tickets to The Worlds included. (B)

Day 15 Sunday 07 July Limoges: Le Dorat Its finals day! Attend the finals of the World Shearing Championships. (B)

Day 16 Monday 08 July Limoges Your tour ends this morning after breakfast. Transfer to Paris Charles de Gaulle included. (B)
