Index to Obituaries in the Canton Repository 2011 Index to Obituaries in the Canton Repository 2011 Compiled by Marcia Mann Published by Stark County District Library Canton, Ohio February 2011 Index to Obituaries in the Canton Repository, 2011 The following is an alphabetical listing, by surname, of obituaries that were published in the Canton, Ohio, newspaper, the Repository, from January 2011 to December 2011. It was compiled in the hope that the book would be a useful tool to genealogists, as well as other researchers. To use this index, simply look up the name of the person whose notice you wish to find. The entries will appear as follows: Abatangelo Ronald Lee 2011 Nov. 9 B 2 The first column is the individual’s SURNAME. The second gives the person’s given name. The third column gives the persons maiden name if one is given in the obituary. The fourth column gives the title of the person if one is used. The fifth, sixth and seventh columns tell the issue date of the Repository. the eighth and ninth columns tell the section and page number where the obituary is located. You may find one name with several listings showing different dates and locations in the paper. This indicates multiple listings for that individual. We encourage you to view each item for additional information. Canton Repository Obituary Index 2011 Surname Given Maiden Title Year Mon. Day Sec. Across the world, countries are concerned about the growing resource consumption and the capacity of ecosystems to provide them. To effectively conserve biodiversity, it is essential to make indicators and knowledge openly available to decision-makers in ways that they can effectively use them. The development and deployment of mechanisms to produce these indicators depend on having access to trustworthy data from field surveys and automated sensors, biological collections, molec- ular data, and historic academic literature. The transformation of this raw data into synthesized information that is fit for use requires going through many refinement steps. The methodologies and techniques used to manage and analyze this data comprise an area often called biodiversity informatics (or e-Biodiversity). Bio- diversity data follows a life cycle consisting of planning, collection, certification, description, preservation, discovery, integration, and analysis.

  • Endometrial Response to Conceptus-Derived Estrogen and Interleukin-1Β at the Time of Implantation in Pigs
Ka et al. Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology (2018) 9:44 https://doi.org/10.1186/s40104-018-0259-8 REVIEW Open Access Endometrial response to conceptus- derived estrogen and interleukin-1β at the time of implantation in pigs Hakhyun Ka1*, Heewon Seo1,2, Yohan Choi1,3, Inkyu Yoo1 and Jisoo Han1 Abstract: The establishment of pregnancy is a complex process that requires a well-coordinated interaction between the implanting conceptus and the maternal uterus. In pigs, the conceptus undergoes dramatic morphological and functional changes at the time of implantation and introduces various factors, including estrogens and cytokines, interleukin-1β2 (IL1B2), interferon-γ (IFNG), and IFN-δ (IFND), into the uterine lumen. In response to ovarian steroid hormones and conceptus-derived factors, the uterine endometrium becomes receptive to the implanting conceptus by changing its expression of cell adhesion molecules, secretory activity, and immune response. Conceptus-derived estrogens act as a signal for maternal recognition of pregnancy by changing the direction of prostaglandin (PG) F2α from the uterine vasculature to the uterine lumen. Estrogens also induce the expression of many endometrial genes, including genes related to growth factors, the synthesis and transport of PGs, and immunity. IL1B2, a pro-inflammatory cytokine, is produced by the elongating conceptus. The direct effect of IL1B2 on endometrial function is not fully understood. IL1B activates the expression of endometrial genes, including the genes involved in IL1B signaling and PG synthesis and transport. In addition, estrogen or IL1B stimulates endometrial expression of IFN signaling molecules, suggesting that estrogen and IL1B act cooperatively in priming the endometrial function of conceptus-produced IFNG and IFND that, in turn, modulate endometrial immune response during early pregnancy.

Assistant Secretary for Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity John Trasviña U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development 451 7th Street S.W., Washington, DC 20410 Dear Assistant Secretary Trasviña, As you know all too well, there’s hardly a need more basic than shelter for our families. And when trying to rent or buy a home, everyone should get a fair shake. Unfortunately, many women and families in search of a home do not know their rights. And many lenders and landlords who figuratively – or even literally – “hold the keys” to a family’s new home are either ignorant of the laws prohibiting discrimination against mothers and families or worse, willfully disobeying them. All too often, mothers are discriminated against in our country in terms of hiring and wages, and housing dis- crimination on the basis of familial status are equally illegal and unacceptable. Your commitment to fighting this discrimination is an inspiration and MomsRising and our more than one mil- lion members (including mother, fathers, grandparents and guardians working to achieve economic security for American families) are proud to have partnered with you in that effort. In the last several months, MomsRising has heard from many credit-worthy pregnant women and mothers across the country who are being denied home loans or rentals apartments solely because they are on maternity leave or have children. You will find a selection of these heartbreaking and infuriating stories in this booklet. The members of MomsRising applaud HUD for your groundbreaking work to end housing discrimination against pregnant women and mothers. This booklet contains the names of over 14,000 mothers and their allies who have signed on to thank HUD and to urge the agency to continue to vigorously enforce fair housing laws as relates to mothers who seek to rent or buy a home.
