Posidonia International Shipping Exhibition – , (June 4-8, 2018) Posidonia has become the largest trade show in Greece and has established itself as a major event for the shipping industry. The show occurs every two years. The 2016 show had more than 33,000 attendees as well as 1,825 exhibiting companies from 90 countries. 3. Trade Leads:

Portugal – (Expected to be announced officially between January – March, 2018) The newly designed Vasco de Gama Terminal in the Port of Sines will be constructed and operated by tenders approved by the Portuguese Government. The Port of Sines is the largest port in and the main port on the Ibero-Atlantic side. Portugal plans for a $500 million investment for developing the port, which includes extending the port to about 6759 feet and increasing capacity to 4.5 million TEU. The tender will be divided by construction and operation and they will function independently. American companies are welcomed to place bids for the tender. Southeast Nigeria - Port Notel Ocean Terminal (PNOT) will be a multipurpose offshore port facility offering latest technology and equipment, high-end engineering, environmentally friendly, safe and secure port area. This port facility will be developed on an artificial island in Ibeno, Nigeria, the southeast region of the country. The island will host port infrastructure for various maritime and industrial markets as well as a nesting ground for all types and sizes of vessels. At Full Operating Capacity (FOC), it plans to connect 250 ports in 100 countries handling 2 million TEUs by 2045 and processing 2.5 million transshipment containers annually. Marine Technology Society (MTS): MTS is an organization that aims to give members of academia, government and industry a common forum for the exchange of information and ideas. Its mission is to facilitate a broader understanding of the relevance of marine technology to wider global issues, and to promote related educational programs. https://www.mtsociety.org/ International Ocean Science and Technology Industry Association (IOSTIA): Provides a voice for companies involved in the various ocean science and technology business sectors primarily outside of the oil and gas industry. IOSTIA members are engaged in a variety of business activities within this blue economy. www.iostia.org National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA): NMMA is dedicated to advocating for and promoting the strength of marine manufacturing, the sales and service networks of its members, and the boating lifestyle.
