It seems that our first publication has already become quite popular as this issue contains twice as many papers as the last. Each paper was submitted to two independent reviewers whose reports were carefully analysed; in response to these reports the authors, where necessary, were asked to observe the reviewers’ comments and submit a revised version. The result of this careful selection is a volume twice as thick as the first one, encompassing a total of 25 papers covering the following four areas of interest: linguistics (10), literature and translation (9) and English language and literature teaching (6). This time the volume is truly international in the sense that nearly one half of the authors are from elsewhere in Europe, and even the USA and Canada.
