Currently, she serves on grants related to mentoring students. Her research interests are distance education, working and providing services to persons with disabilities, mentoring faculty and students, digital education, and human resources. * * * Rashad Anderson is an Assistant Professor of Teacher Education SC State University; Campus Director of the Call Me MISTER Program and Lead Advisor for the 101 Black Men Society. Anthony Andrews is a Licensed Professional Counselor and has his own private practice, located in Charlotte, NC. Anthony is a North Carolina A&T alum who graduated with his MS in Rehabilitation Counseling in 2014. He is currently back at North Carolina A&T in his second year as a Doctorate Student in the “Rehabilitation Counseling & Counselor Education” program. Anthony is an Adlerian Therapist who focuses on assisting his clients with battling their own inferior feelings and finding meaning in life. Anthony has strong research interest in mentorship, specifically in young African American Males. He has spent a copious amount of time studying and researching methods of building mentoring programs in North Carolina. An- thony believes that mentorship is essential to success. Anthony plans on receiving his Ph.D. in 2019 and continuing to provide outpatient counseling along with the integration of supervision and teaching. Quintin Boston is currently an Associate Professor and Program Coordinator of the M.S. Rehabilitation Counseling program at North Carolina A & T in the Depart- ment of Counseling. -

ACCOUNTANCY 2019-2020 College of Business and Entrepreneurship BACHELOR OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION School of Accountancy This program leads to a profession which requires an occupational license as defined under Texas Occupations Code 58.001. This requires that all applicants seeking to become licensed must undergo a criminal background check prior to licensure Accountants and auditors prepare, analyze, and examine financial reports to ensure their fairness and reliability. Some accountants provide taxation advice and other consulting services to individuals and organizations or work in various capacities in not-for-profit organizations. Others serve as controllers, internal auditors, chief financial officers, and budget analysts. Demand for accountants is independent of the state of the economy and accounting graduates earn a very high salary. A – GENERAL EDUCATION CORE – 42 HOURS Students must fulfill the General Education Core requirements. The courses listed below satisfy both degree requirements and General Education Core requirements. International Education Guide FOR THE ASSESSMENT OF EDUCATION FROM THE FORMER USSR AND THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION Welcome to the Alberta Government’s International Education Guides The International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS) developed the International Education Guides for educational institutions, employers and professional licensing bodies to help facilitate and streamline their decisions regarding the recognition of international credentials. These guides compare educational systems from around the world to educational standards in Canada. The assessment recommendations contained in the guides are based on extensive research and well documented standards and criteria. This research project, a first in Canada, is based on a broad range of international resources and considerable expertise within the IQAS program. Organizations can use these guides to make accurate and efficient decisions regarding the recognition of international credentials. The International Education Guides serve as a resource comparing Alberta standards with those of other countries, and will assist all those who need to make informed decisions, including: • employers who need to know whether an applicant with international credentials meets the educational requirements for a job, and how to obtain information comparing the applicant’s credentials to educational standards in Alberta and Canada • educational institutions that need to make a decision about whether a prospective student meets the education requirements for admission, and who need to find accurate and reliable information about the educational system of another country • professional licensing bodies that need to know whether an applicant meets the educational standards for licensing bodies The guides include a country overview, a historical educational overview, and descriptions of school education, higher education, professional/technical/vocational education, teacher education, grading scales, documentation for educational credentials and a bibliography. -

This handy resource can trace its beginnings to the 1979 publication of The Glossary of Foreign Educational Terms. Developed by Theodore Sharp, IERF’s co-founder, The Glossary focused on a selection of languages from Europe and Latin America. The Index of Educational Terms, compiled by IERF evaluators, provides glossaries from 11 major languages around the world, including Arabic, Chinese and Russian. This new edition, which now also includes Farsi, is intended as a handy tool for admissions officers, credentials analysts and registrars, the Index of Educational Terms focuses on the most commonly used terms found on international academic records. We are grateful for the enthusiastic feedback we have received over the years, since its first release in 2012.
