This compares with a borough density of 129 residents per hectare and 52 per hectare in London. • There were 10,821 occupied households in this ward with an average household size of 2.13 residents; lower than the average size for Tower Hamlets of 2.47 and second lowest in the borough after St Katharine’s & Wapping with an average household size of 2.07 per household. This was above the Tower Hamlets average of 83.3% and above the London figure of 83.8%.
