He would strongly encourage global standards of care through partnerships with Stanford and other international organizations. GVK MIAL receives EnMS Certification

GVK MIAL received the coveted, ISO 50001:2011 accreditation from DNV that recognizes efforts and measures put forward by an entity to Energy Management system.The main objective of the standard is to continuously improve energy-related performance and identify energy reduction opportunities through the development of an energy management system (EnMS).

Dawat-e-Banjara returns Taj Banjara’s housekeeping department returned with Dawat-e-Banjara, a culinary delight for all the hotel staff. Just like last year, the mouth-watering menu had several dishes to suit everyone’s palate like malai kofta, dhaba dal, aaloo tikki, fries, salad and double ka mitha. The beautifully decorated restaurant and lip-smacking food kept the staff entertained.

Around 40 associates from different departments participated in the week-long tournament. Cooking competition at Taj Club House conducted Taj Club House a cooking competition for its female associates. Each team comprised two members from a non- food production background. All teams had to prepare a starter, a main-course dish and a dessert. Chef Siddiq, Executive Chef and Mr Elgish, Associate Director of Sales judged the event. The teams presented their dishes with a story behind it. The judges declared Ms Priya and Ms , Kitchen Stewarding Department as the winners on the basis of presentation, texture and taste. The mobile App, which will be available on Google Playstore shall display the location of the user (through GPS) and the ambulances close to that location. The App will also help connect the user to the 108 call centre. Currently, the app is being tested on a pilot basis in Hyderabad.

Till now, the ambulances were primarily used to transfer babies from primary or secondary care hospitals to a tertiary care hospital. This service will benefit pre-term babies, underweight babies and those born with congenital conditions.

The International Day of Friendship is a United Nations (UN) day that promotes the role of friendship in spreading peace, solidarity, mutual understanding and reconciliation. Since April 2011, the United Nations officially recognised 30 July as International Friendship Day; although most countries celebrate this day on the first Sunday of August.

Quit India Movement or the India August Movement (August Kranti) was a civil disobedience movement launched in India in August 1942 in response to Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi’s call for satyagraha.
