Open Solo Rounds: Open Championship dancers. In order to be eligible to dance in the Open Championships, dancers must compete in at least 2 of the Open Solo round dances. Dancers will dance 40 bars for Reel & Treble Jig, and 32 bars for Slip Jig & Hornpipe. Reel, SJ, TR tempo -113, Hard shoe Jig tempo 73, Hornpipe tempo 113. ENTRY FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE AND NON-TRANSFERABLE . The maximum fee per family is $225 (does not include facility fee, late fee, or change fee). Competitors are highly encouraged to print their number on card stock prior to attending. For those who cannot, competitor cards may be picked up at the venue. An Chomhdhail Feis Rules

1. Age groups up to and including under 9 are prohibited from wearing solo costumes. 2. Dancers in Level Beginner A/B/C are prohibited from wearing solo costumes. 3. Competitions for age groups up to and including under 11 are not permitted after 6pm. 4. Children up to and including the age of 12 are prohibited from wearing face make-up. 5. All dancers are prohibited from wearing any form of glitter on their face. 6. In Beginner A, B, and C competitions, there must be a minimum of 10 competitors, before the winner progresses to the next grade, at the discretion of the adjudicator. 7. In Pre-Open competitions there must be a minimum of 5 competitors, before the winner progresses to the next grade at the discretion of the adjudicator. 8. Feisanna must include a variety of traditional set dances in each session. 9. Floor measurements are set at a mimimum of 16ft by 20ft for local feisanna. 10. In the event of an injury at a feis, an incident report should be made stating how injury happened and the course of action that was taken. 11. Competitors are required to be appropriately attired at all times when attending a feis and the the committee has the right to ensure that the rule is adhered to. 12. Any form of unauthorized photography which captures a dancers’ image whilst taking part in competition is expressly forbidden. This covers photography by means of mobile phones, tablets, video camera, and cine recorder with or without flash facility. 13. Under the health and safety, competitors are requested not to smoke whilst dressed in their dancing costume. 14. All competitors must wear their number positioned center front, clearly displayed for adjudicators. 15. Scrutineers must be members of An Chomhdhail who will be responsible for checking the adjudicators results following each championship. 16. All Feisanna must be run for a Charitable Organisation and cannot be run for personal or class funds. 17. The decision of the adjudicator or adjudicators is final as to quality. An objection on any other grounds may be lodged by a teacher in writing on payment of a fee of 10 Euro’s or equivalent. The feis committee may adjudicate on such an objection if they consider themselves competent to do so, and will return the objection to the Executive of An Chomhdhail. No objection will be considered unless it is made in writing within 48 hours after the declaration of the result of the competition. Any Teacher who disagrees with the decision of a feis committee may refer the matter to the Executive of An Chomhdhail on payment of a fee of 20 Euro’s or equivalent. 18. All prizes must be presented at the termination of a feis (with all competitors in full costume). 19. Adult competitions are permissible at Feiseanna provided the following criteria is adhered to : • Ladies attire to include a simple dress or skirt and top. No cleavage to be shown and dress / skirt length to be no more than 2inches above the knee. • Opague tights to be worn. Minimum 100 denier. Clothes and tights to be dark in color – Black, Navy, Wine or Forrest Green. • No wigs, poodle sock, tiara or bling to be worn. • Gents attire to include long dark tailored trousers, shirt, tie (optional) or polo shirt.
