MEDIA ADVISORY: CHICAGO CUBS POSTSEASON CREDENTIAL APPLICATIONS NOW AVAILABLE ONLINE MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 10, 2018

CHICAGO – Media credential applications for potential 2018 postseason games at Wrigley Field are now available through the MLB online credentialing system at https://credentials.mlb.com. All credential requests must be completed online by a Sports Editor or Director and include headshots and valid e-mail addresses for all applicants.

Applications for potential N.L. Tiebreaker, Wild Card and Division Series Games should be submitted through the Cubs tab on the credentialing website, and will be processed through the Cubs media relations department. The deadline for applications for the N.L. Tiebreaker, Wild Card and Division Series is 5:00 p.m. CT on Wednesday, September 26. Regular season BBWAA cards will be honored for the Tiebreaker and Wild Card rounds, but not the NLDS. Cubs season credentials will be honored for a Tiebreaker Game, but not the Wild Card or NLDS. Please note that for BBWAA writers and certain broadcast partners, Major League Baseball will be providing universal credentials for postseason games. Please contact MLB with any questions regarding universal credentials.

Media credentials issued by the Cubs for the N.L. Tiebreaker, Wild Card Game and Division Series rounds are only valid for games at Wrigley Field. If you plan to cover Cubs postseason games away from Wrigley Field, you must apply for credentials with each potential opponent.

Applications for the NLCS and World Series should be submitted through the MLB Jewel Events tab on the credentialing website, and will be processed by Major League Baseball. The deadline for applications for the League Championship Series and World Series is Thursday, October 4. Please read all instructions and information on the application page for each round prior to submitting the application. The N.L. Tiebreaker Game application can be found within the “Other” tab on the credentialing website.
