4532 families from Dandhi Ghori and Dandi Shahbudin have received different types of assistances from different organizations as above. ARCS /ICRC distributed food and NFIs to 1116 families, families, ANDMA distributed food to 355 IDP families while provided NFIs to 487 families.
DACAAR distributed Hygiene Kits to 435 IDP
families.
DRC distributed cash for food and NFIs to 435
IDP families.
PIN distributed Cash for NFIs to 938 IDP families,
UNHCR distributed NFIs to 1273 IDP Families. UNICEF provided NFI family kits and hygiene kits to 570 IDP families. WFP distributed food packages to 2781 IDP families.
MACCA has distributed NFI to 100 families who have lost their family members or got injured. While Ministry of Defence has distributed food, NFI and Blankets to 200 families in Dandi Ghori.
455 petitions including 3112 families have submitted their Screening Committee petitions to DoRR and there is need for screening committee meeting should be meeting to be conducted. The families are indeed need for humanitarian assessment. OCT explained that ARCS should conduct assessment in insecure areas. ACTED: Said that some families have displaced from Kok ACTED will collect Chenar, Qaisar Khel and other areas and now they are living more information in Baghlani Jadid district centre but rest of the OCT members regarding Baghlan rejected their petitions and said that they have returned to IDPs and will share their place of origin and requested to ACTED to collected with OCT through more information regarding Baghlani Jadid IDPs and will OCHA. share with OCT through OCHA. ACTED: Further said that they have visited 52 IDP families and verified only 41 families as genuine IDPs. ACTED will distribute Cash for Food and Cash for NFIs to the verified families.
3 Dandi Ghori OCHA said that the community elders are requesting to the Assessment humanitarian actors to conduct assessment in Dandi Ghori and response to their needs. Houses, schools and water points have destructed while 2000 jerib lands have not cultivated so far and community elders said that the families are food insecure there. NRC said that they are in process with local elders to make access to Dandi Ghori and requested to humanitarian actors to participate in the assessment. The floor discussed and agreed that the assessment teams will look to Shelter, NFIs, WASH, FSAC and Education need. NRC and ACTED are ready to conduct assessment while WFP – IDS Hamkar, NPO and WAW will discuss this with high management and will get back to OCT for assessment team. It’s also discussed that OCHA should meet with Provincial Governor to support assessment in Dandi Ghori and to stop fighting during assessment. The assessment will took place once all parties agreed. 4 Humanitarian situations updates Protection updates: (Protection, NFI/Shelter, Health WAW: is regularly monitor conflict induced IDPs protection and Nutrition, Food issues and reporting to UNHCR. Security and Agriculture, WASH, ES and NFI updates: Education) ACTED: Newly started Emergency Response Mechanism ERM in Baghlan province. ACTED will distribute cash for food and NFIs to conflict and natural disaster affected families. If the needed items were not available in the market so ACTED will provide NFI and emergency shelter kits affected families and food will be covered by another organization. Beside ACTED has 350 shelters, 2450 blankets and 1000 hygiene kits in its warehouse under another project and will distribute to natural disaster affected families. FOUCS: has NFI kits in the warehouse and will distribute to natural disaster affected families only.
Health updates:
BDN: is operating 62 clinics in Baghlan province and providing free health services in Baghlan districts. BDN also providing nutrition services in all clinics in Baghlan province. BDN provided health services three times a week in Tapa Farhad areas to conflict induced IDPs through mobile health teams. BDN also provides health services in Khwaja Alwan, Bala Dori and Hussain Khel area to conflict induced IDPs. BDN also provide nutrition training to local people to make nutrition food in the homes. ORCD: has three First Aid Trauma Centres (FATC) in Baghlani Jadid, Khinjan districts while ORCD had one FTAC in Dandi Ghuri and now ORCD changes it to Dahana I Ghuri district of Baghlan province due to an incident in Dandi Ghuri. ORCD also has one Trauma Centre in Puli Khumri.
FSAC updates:
ACTED: Will provide cash for food to natural disaster and conflict induced IDPs under ERM project based on market survey around 8000 Afghanis per family. WFP IDS-HAMKAR: Shmarq Canal cleaning project completed by ASIO and two months mixed food was distributed to 625 labors by WFP under ESRP project. Another Assets creation project which is in Tapa Farhat where 377 labours are involved watering the plants in the mentioned areas. This is a five months project which is going to be completed by ASIO. Beside WFP has P4P project of Soybean in Puli Khumri, Khinjan and Baghlan Jadid districts which is being implemented by ACTED and NEI, WFP has assisted 3 Belarus Tractors and 4 green houses to Cooperatives through ACTED.
WASH updates:
ACTED: has completed 20 wells in Baghlani Jadid district while 11 wells have completed in Puli Khumri and nine wells under construction in Puli Khumri. ACTED will train 800 families on health hygiene. The project has funded by OFDA. Education updates:
OCT meeting participants discussed that mine risk education MRE is highly needed in Puli Khumri. Mine Action has to pay full attention to OCHA has to inform Kabul Baghlan province and OCHA has to inform Kabul and protection and protection regarding regarding needs.
