Duo Guitartes) [4.22] DUO GUITARTES STEPHEN DODGSON (1924–2013) Dodgson studied horn and, more importantly to him, composition at the Royal College of Music under Patrick Hadley, R.O. Morris and Anthony Hopkins. He then began teaching music in schools and colleges until 1956 when he returned to the Royal College to teach theory and composition. He was rewarded by the institution in 1981 when he was made a fellow of the College. In the 1950s his music was performed by, amongst others, Evelyn Barbirolli, Neville Marriner, the Philip Jones Brass Ensemble and the composer Gerald Finzi. -
