Universal Studios Japan will hold a special limited-period event on the theme of ONE PIECE (written by Eiichiro Oda), a very popular comic with a total printing exceeding 300 million copies and number of first-run printings setting a new Japanese record. ONE PIECE Premier Show, a special show featuring the blockbuster comic and anime, will be held in spring and summer this year specially to commemorate its fifth anniversary. In the Spring show period (March 8 to May 11, 2014), Luffy and Ace - Fight Together (performed in 2010) returns, which has been long-awaited by many fans. The show will be re-performed on an overwhelmingly grand scale and with high quality, using even more upgraded special effects and projection mapping! Luffy and Ace - Fight Together was selected via fan voting as the best ONE PIECE Premier Show among this very popular premier show series performed in the past, with an overwhelming lead.
◆ We Can See Ace Again, Even Though We Thought We’d Never Be Able to Again ONE PIECE Premier Show Reunion with Ace, who is still supported enthusiastically by many fans, is the dream of ONE PIECE fans. This year’s ONE PIECE Premier Show makes their dream come true! Luffy’s fighting skill Gomu Gomu No Jet Gatling and Ace’s special weapon Flaming Net will be authentically reproduced at highly upgraded level both in scale and quality using pyrotechnics (fireworks for boosting the show’s mood) and projection mapping, special effects, and stunt acts. In addition, very popular powerful opponents who appeared in the manga and anime series will show up. Enjoy this exciting, unimaginably wonderful show performed on a stage floating on the water at WaterWorld in the Park.

At the preview of the ONE PIECE Premier Show held on Thursday, March 6 prior to the event’s grand opening, Takahiro Nishijima and Shinjiro Atae, members of AAA (Triple A), will come to Universal Studios Japan. AAA provided its new song “Wake up!” for

Life-Size Ace Shows Up!Photo Opportunity with Ace A life-size figure of Ace was produced based on super-wonderful scenes of “Luffy and Ace - Fight Together.” Guests can take photos with it in a Photo Opportunity with Ace! Have fun posture acting like Luffy. Ace appears embraced with huge flames and talks to guests. The overwhelming sense of reality makes guests feel as if they were a main character and fighting together with Ace. Photo Opportunity with Ace will be held in front of WaterWorld in the Park every day during the event period.
Very Popular Two ONE PIECE-Themed Restaurants to Be Upgraded and Reopened This Summer! Sanji’s Pirates Restaurant filled with many guests every day will reopen with new menu items and performers! Sanji’s Pirates Restaurant, a very popular restaurant filled with many guests every day, has drawn the attention of an increasing number of guests each year. This summer, the restaurant will be upgraded and re-open at Lombard’s Landing as in previous years. At the restaurant, guests can savor French cuisine produced and cooked by Sanji, the cook of the Straw Hat Pirates, with love, while enjoying an original show. This summer, Chopper will appear for the first time in the restaurant together with Luffy, Nami and other Straw Hat Pirates. At the restaurant, guests can fully enjoy a variety of Sanji’s charms, like Sanji in a cook’s costume appearing in front of guests and Sanji carefully serving each guest. Party with straw hat pirates at Straw Hat Crew’s Feast Restaurant! Straw Hat Crew’s Feast Restaurant, a very popular restaurant that made its debut in the Park last summer, was highly rated among many guests. The restaurant will re-open this summer at the site of Discovery Restaurant in Jurassic Park! This restaurant filled with the mood of the ONE PIECE world was created based on the concept of Straw Hat Pirates feast in the jungle. Here guests can
〈Reference material〉 enjoy an exciting feeling as if they were participating in the feast of “Straw Hat Pirates.” This year, Usopp will appear at Feast Restaurant in addition to the Straw Hat Pirates, who appeared last year! Making a toast while enjoying the Pirates dinner with bony chops and other meals, guests can experience a feeling as if they had become pirates in the world of ONE PIECE. Straw Hat Crew’s Feast Restaurant will be open every day during the event period. Enjoy eating casually at the restaurant, and with no reservation required.
