Esto ha paralizado las actividades durante gran parte del año, circunstancia que se refleja muy negativamente en nuestras estadísticas. A pesar de ello la Federación Atlética de la Provincia de Buenos Aires, ha creído conveniente publicar esta edición, como viene sucediendo desde el 2008, haciéndolo acotado al ranking 2020 absoluto, pero manteniendo el resto de las secciones habituales. Es así como podemos ofrecerles la Memoria anual, las mejores marcas de todos los tiempos, las tablas de récords y el capítulo de varios, donde siempre incorporamos información extra de interés histórico. En este último aspecto hemos realizado un recordatorio del cuarto de siglo transcurrido desde la realización de los XII Juegos Panamericanos de 1995 que se desarrollaron en Mar del Plata. Florencia Borelli ha sido la mejor atleta del año. Su récord nacional del medio maratón y la ubicación preferencial obtenida en el Campeonato mundial de la especialidad así lo ameritan. Asimismo debemos resaltar que tres atletas bonaerenses obtuvieron medallas en el Sudamericano indoor. Ellos fueron Elián Larregina, oro en 400 y plata en posta, Mariana Borelli, plata en 800 y bronce en 1500, y Agustín Carrera por su tercer lugar en los 60 con vallas y plata en la posta.
