The attached application is prepared on behalf of the West Tennessee Public TV

Council, Inc., licensee of WLJT-DT - Lexington, Tennessee. WLJT-DT is presently li-

censed to operate on Channel 47 with a nondirectional effective radiated power of 285

kilowatts at 205 meters above average terrain. It also holds a construction permit au-

thorizing operation on Channel 14 with a nondirectional effective radiated power of 142

kilowatts to replicate as closely as possible the post-repack facilities authorized for

WLJT-DT. This application proposes to modify the WACY-TV construction permit to

specify operation on Channel 27 with a maximum effective radiated power of 142 kilo-

watts from the presently authorized site and is intended to eliminate the complications

associated with land mobile interference which would result from operating on Channel

14.

A separate exhibit provides partial details on the proposed antenna, which was

supplied by the antenna manufacturer An amendment will be submitted to provide more

complete data when it is received from the manufacturer.

This exhibit includes the results of the FCC’s TV Study program for the proposed facilities. This data shows that these proposed facilities won’t be predicted to cause any new or increased interference to any other post-repack facilities requiring protection consideration.

The predicted 48 dBu principal community contour for the proposed facilities will totally encompass Lexington, as required by Section 73.625(a) of the FCC Rules.
