at the Spa Little Theater, Saratoga Spa State Park

The classic television special comes to life in this faithful adaptation where the gang grapples with the real meaning of Christmas. In order to get him into the spirit of Christmas, Lucy convinces to direct the school’s Christmas play. Little does he know he is about to guide his undisciplined and uncooperative friends, Lucy, Linus, Pig Pen, Sally, , and the bunch to an understanding of what the holiday is all about.

Character Breakdown – Looking for actors between the ages of 20-45 than can blend into a believable ensemble. Some actors may be asked to sing. Roller-skating is a plus, especially for Snoopy.

CHARLIE BROWN: The lovable loser and the kid that never gives up, even though he gets grief from his friends and his dog he remains the stalwart hero.

SNOOPY: Supremely confident world famous beagle is a canine that can do anything. Roller-skating ability a plus. Must move well.

WOODSTOCK: The fluttery sputtering yellow bird is Snoopy’s sidekick. It is a physical role without lines.

LUCY: The bossy, crabby, self-appointed Queen of the Christmas pageant and sister to Linus. She can be found giving advice for 5 cents, stealing Linus’ blanket, or humiliating Charlie Brown. She has an unrequited love for Schroeder.

LINUS: Blanket-clutching philosopher who always has a kind word for everybody.

SALLY: Charlie Brown’s little sister is always on the hunt for answers. She is devoted to Linus, her “Sweet Babboo.”

SCHROEDER: A musical genius who rarely separates himself from his toy piano or his idol, Beethoven.

PIG PEN: Happily travels in his own dust storm. He always carries himself with dignity.

PEPPERMINT : A fearless born leader and natural athlete. She is hopelessly in love with her pal, “Chuck.”

MARCIE: ’s best friend and loyal follower, who is Patty’s complete opposite. She is smart and terrible at sports but a terrific friend.

FREDA: The girl with the naturally curly hair of which she is very proud.

VIOLET: With her trademark ponytail she is Lucy’s closest friend.

SHERMY: Complete opposite of Charlie Brown. Actor could be cast as Charlie Brown’s understudy.

Minor characters may be asked to double as singers to sing “” and “Hark the Herald Angels Sing.”
