The following Bill is made public in accordance with Article 17 fl) (d) of the Palestine Order in Council, 1922, as amended by Article 3 of the Palestine (Amendment) Order in Council, 1923. )]finance to amend the Criminal Law Amendment .v \ |f Ordinance, 1927 .1927׳ No. 2 of BE IT ENACTED by the High Commissioner for Tales- tine, with the advice of the Advisory Council thereof 1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Criminal Law Amendment Ordinance, 1930; and the Criminal Law Amendment Ordinance, No. 2 of 1927 (hereinafter called the Principal Or dinance), and this Ordinance may together be cited as the Criminal Law Amendment Ordinances, 1927-1930. I, Sir John Robert Chancellor, High Commissioner for Palestine, certify that the consiruction of a Police Post on certain lands at Beit Jibrin in the Sub-District of Hebron, is an undertaking of a public nature within the meaning of the Expropriation of Land Ordinance, 1926. I, Sir John Robert Chancellor, High Commissioner for Palestine, certify that the acquisition of a site in the town of Jerusalem for oil storage, which site is delineated on plans deposited at the Offices of the Director of Landsr Jerusalem, and the Deputy District Commissioner, Jerusalem Division, is an undertaking of a public nature .within the meaning of Section 3 of the Expropriation Ordinance, 192(3. In exercise of the powers vested in him by Section 16 (1) of the Urban Property Tax Ordinance, 1928, the High Commissioner has'appointed Mr. Butros Nasir as member of the Appeal Commissions in the Urban Areas of Ramleh and Lydda in place of Mr. Nazmi 7Anabtawi,, transferred. In exercise of the powers vested in me by Section 44• (p) of the Road Transport Ordinance, 4929, I, Sir John Robert Chancellor, High Commissioner for Palestine, make the following Regulation. f) OFFICIAL GAZETTE 1st January, 4930. No vehicle shall be driven on the Baisan-Jericho road during such days in the winter months as the Deputy District Superintendent of Police, Nablus Sub-District, shall specify by notices placed on the roadside at Beisan, Jiftlik and Jericho, when, in his opinion, the driving of vehicles would be likely to cause excessive damage to the road or danger to the public. Regulations made by the Director, Department of Health, under Section 2(a) with the sanction of the I liidi Commissioner. 4. Tourists arriving in Palestine by sea as members of specially conducted parties on board a recognised tourist ship of the first class shall be permitted to land and proceed on their journey immediately. Provided that if plague, cholera, yellow fever, small pox or typhus has broken out on board such ship, or if, within the period of live days preceding the ship's call at a Palestine port, there has been communication with a port infected with cholera, special arrangements shall apply in conformity with the requirements of the International Sanitary Convention. 2. Members of specially conducted parties of the first or second class may be exempted at the discretion of the Senior Medical Officer concerned from the requirement of medical surveillance on the 4st, 3rd and 5th days after their arrival. Provided that- (a) the state of health of the crew7 and passengers on board is satisfactory at the time of arrival ; (b) a nominal list of persons disembarking, being a duplicate ol that prepared for the Passport Officer, is delivered to the Quarantine Medical Officer; (c) the conductor of the tourist party undertakes to report at once to the nearest District Health Office the occurrence of any case of sickness in the party while in Palestine which is suspected to be a case of infectious or communicable disease. 3. Regulations 4 and 2 shall not apply to Moslem pilgrims during the recognised Mecca pilgrimage season. 4. Regulation 2 shall not apply to pilgrims who visit Palestine in con• nexion with the celebration of religious festivals; or to members of second class parties whose steamship fare from the port of departure to Palestine is less than the normal second class fare on the route taken.
