VII Sessió Conjunta D'entomología Ses. Entom. ICHN-SCL, VII (1991): 75-82 Barcelona, 1993 CONTRIBUCIÓ AL CONEIXEMENT DELS NOCTUIDAE DE LA GARROTXA (CATALUNYA) (LEPIDOPTERA: NOCTUIDAE) J. Bellavista SUMMARY Contribution to the knowledge of the Noctuidae of La Garrotxa (Catalonia) (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae). The aim of this paper is to give a comprehensive and updated account of all species belonging to the family Noctuidae so far known to occur in the region of La Garrotxa (Catalonia, Spain). Results are based on specimens collected by the author during the last ten years as well as on those collected by other collectors; also all records from literature have been included. The list of the Noctuidae of La Garrotxa includes so far 309 species. A brief biogeographic study of this family within the studied area has also been carried out. Sv ir id o v received 24.II.2000 Summary: 630 species of the Noctuidae are listed for the modern Volgo-Ural fauna. 2 species [Mesapamea hedeni Graeser and Amphidrina amurensis Staudinger ) are noted from Europe for the first time and one more— Nycteola siculana Fuchs —from Russia. 3 species ( Catocala optata Godart , Helicoverpa obsoleta Fabricius , Pseudohadena minuta Pungeler ) are deleted from the list. Supposedly they were either erroneously determinated or incorrect noted from the region under consideration since Eversmann 's work. 289 species are recorded from the re gion in addition to Eversmann 's list. This paper is the fifth in a series of publications1 dealing with the composition of the pres ent-day fauna of noctuid-moths in the Middle Volga and the south-western Cisurals. This re gion comprises the administrative divisions of the Astrakhan, Volgograd, Saratov, Samara, Uljanovsk, Orenburg, Uralsk and Atyraus (= Gurjev) Districts, together with Tataria and Bash kiria. As was accepted in the first part of this series, only material reliably labelled, and cover ing the last 20 years was used for this study. The main collections are those of the authors: V. The conservation contribution this year of £40 per person was supplemented by gift aid through the Honeyguide Wildlife Charitable Trust, leading to a total of £440 This donation brings the total given to SEO since the first Honeyguide holiday in Spain in 1991 to £16,745 (through all Honeyguide holidays, mostly the Spanish Pyrenees and Extremadura). As at July 2016, the total for all conservation contributions through Honeyguide since 1991 was £108,716. 2 DAILY DIARY Wednesday 15 June: The way there… What should have been a simple journey, Stansted to Biarritz then minibus to Berdún, had by 8pm turned out rather differently. The Northern part of Kiev region is at the zone of mixed forests (Ukrainian Polissya), and the Southern part is at the forest-steppe zone. The moths of boreal complex dominate at Kiev suburbs; moths that inhabit in forests of different types and parks. Contrary to forest-steppe areas, the natural biotopes of Polissya avoided significant anthropogenic changes for today. Forest-steppe part of Kiev region, as all forest-steppe Ukrainian regions, were under the more powerful anthropogenic pressure ever. There are the great squares that occupied by agriculture, there are a lot of arable lands, settled and seliteb places. Moth biodiversity in Kiev and surrounded areas is under the studying since 1901 (Круликовский, 1901). For today there were registered 383 moth species from 181 genera and 31 subfamilies.

  • Entomologische Eindrücke Von Der Insel Korsika (Insecta: Lepidoptera)
©Entomologischer Verein Apollo e.V. Frankfurt am Main; download unter www.zobodat.at Nachr. entomol. Ver. Entomological impressions from the island of Corse (Insecta: Lepidoptera) Abstract: During a two weeks journey in June 1993 the author collected but terflies and moths on the island of Corsica. All species which were collected or observed are listed (165). The following four species are recorded for the first time from this island: Acronicta aceris Linnaeus 1758, Caradrina proxima Rambur 1839, Schrankia costaestrigalis Stephens 1834, Eilema sororcula Huf nagel 1766.
