L’idea è nata per caso e questa raccolta non vuole assolutamente sostituire il prezioso lavoro di guide turistiche e operatori del settore. Semplicemente vuole essere uno strumento agevole di comunicazione per far scoprire e visitare gli splendidi siti archeologici sardi a conterranei, turisti, viaggiatori senza farli perdere nelle labirintiche stradine di campagna sotto il sole di agosto o sotto la pioggia invernale e farli quindi arrivare alla mèta … sorridendo! Auguriamo a tutti voi un buon viaggio di scoperta! The idea was born by chance and this collection doesn’t want to replace the valuable work of guides and tour operators. It simply wants to help Sardinian people, tourists, travelers discover and visit the most beautiful Sardinian archaeological sites, preventing them from getting lost in the countryside in the summer sun or in the winter rain, guiding them to their destination …with a smile! We wish you all a beautiful journey of discovery! Email: [email protected] Abstract: One of the most important megalithic groups in Western Europe in terms of number and characteristics is the group of over 200 monuments of various types in Sardinia. It now seems to be confirmed that the rise of the megalithic phenomenon was during the culture of San Michele of Ozieri (Late Neolithic, 4000-3300 B.C.E.). The Sardinian dolmen graves, however, had a maximum distribution during the Chalcolithic, as evidenced by most of the finds from excavations. The phenomenon also shows a close relationship beyond Sardinia and especially with the monuments of Catalonia, Pyrenees, non-coastal departments of French-midi, Corsica and Puglia. About 90 dolmen graves of various types have been investigated, namely the simple type, “corridor” type, “allée couverte” type, and others of uncertain attribution, located in central-western Sardinia, and particularly in a significant area of ca. 3500 km2 coinciding with the historical regions of Marghine-Planargia, Middle Valley of Tirso and Montiferru. This includes some 40% of all Sardinian dolmens. Locational trends and relationships with regard to landscape elements were studied with the aid of GIS methodologies such as viewshed and cost surface analysis.

This name has inspired stories and ideas from ancient times and is even Boinaglios mentioned by Homer in the fourth book of the Odyssey. The word is used to indicate the drink that Helen of Troy kept for her husband Menelaus, king of Sparta, to settle his sadness; also did serve to Telemachus, who arrived at court afflicted and tired looking for news of his father Ulysses not yet returned home: "The Nepente already infused, and 'servants imposed from urne pour into cups wine" (Trad. Ippolito Pindemonte). The quotes in other songs as a medicinal drink, soothing, used by soldiers to remedy the wounds. Almost a narcotic. Or an anesthetic. Herodotus, in Book II of the Stories, speaks of the Nepente of the Nile Valley and many scholars have considered having to deal with an amazing, perhaps an opiate. Shortly after Pliny the Elder, in studying "Excursus" Book XXIV of the Nepente of which reported Homer, questioned on what was the corresponding plant, concluding having to deal with a mysterious Egyptian plant whose infused gave serenity and something more: Hoc nomine vocatur herba quae vino injecta hilaritatem inducit: (this name [Nepente] is called an herb that put in the wine induces happiness).     LA TOMBA IPOGEICA DI BADDE DE JANAS (PUTIFIGARI, SARDEGNA): UNA NUOVA DOMUS DE JANAS CON RIPRODUZIONE DEL TETTO The neolithic rock-cut tomb of Badde de Janas (Putifigari, Sardinia, Italy): a new domus de janas with roof representation El hipogeo neolitico de Badde de Janas (Putifigari, Cerdeña, Italia): una nueva domus de janas con representaciòn del techo PAOLO MELIS* RIASSUNTO: Viene presentata una nuova tomba ipogeica neolitica del tipo a domus de janas che mostra, nella camera principale, la riproduzione di un tetto a doppia falda, ad imitazione di una casa di civile abitazione. La riproduzione è di stile realistico, completamente dipinta di rosso, e trova confronti con la vicina Tomba Dipinta di S’Incantu, distante soltanto un chilometro in linea d’aria. Si discute sul significato di tali riproduzioni all’interno delle tombe ipo- geiche, che vanno riferite ad abitazioni di pianta rettangolare, di cui non si hanno tracce certe negli abitati neolitici della Sardegna, a parte il discusso caso di Serra Linta a Sedilo. L’autore ritiene più probabile che le riproduzioni di case rettangolari con tetto a doppia falda, all’interno delle domus de janas, siano da riferire meglio a edifici di culto, come il noto “tempio rosso” che sorgeva sull’altare a terrazza di Monte d’Accoddi a Sassari. Parole chiave: Tombe ipogeiche, neolitico, Sardegna, rituali funerari, simbologia. ABSTRACT: This paper presents a new Sardinian neolithic rock-cut tomb of domus de janas type that shows, in the main room, the reproduction of a double-pitched roof, as imitation of a dwe- lling. The reproduction is realistic in style, completely painted of red, and can be related to the nearest Painted Tomb of S’Incantu in the same Putifigari area.

Florian Soula 1 Abridged version The territory of Mamoiada (fig. 1b), with an administrative area of 49 km², is at the heart of the Barbagia di Ollolai in central-east Sardinia, from 600 m. to 1130 m. above sea level. It is enclosed between the foothills of the central mountains of Gennargentu and the first benches of the plain of Nuoro, which is a corridor between the topographic high central plain of the island and the eastern seaboard.
