This past year, we graduated 100 percent of our senior class, and 100 percent were accepted to college. Standing on the shoulders of our sisters Today we find ourselves launching into the future with more confidence in our mission than ever before. Imbued with the confidence, vision, and the unwavering support of the Board of the Directors and Sisters of the Holy Names, we are making huge strides and bold decisions. The big news is that we have purchased a city block of property in downtown Portland, just kitty-corner from our campus. We are in the process of creating the master plan for campus expansion. This will be an exciting and collaborative effort. Further, St. Mary’s Academy’s story is spreading throughout the region. We have the highest applicant pool for next year’s freshman class in the school’s history. We hear from the applicants that they’re influenced by the experience of current students. The pride that our young women have in the school is truly gratifying, and it is a strong testament to our faculty. Our school’s administration, faculty and staff are aligned with a common purpose, which is to do what is in the best interest of our students. By any measure, we’re producing results. This past year, we graduated 100 percent of our senior class, and 100 percent were accepted to college. St. Mary’s financial strength at this point in our history is the result of sound fiscal management, and the impact of thousands of donors whose generosity is making a significant difference. St. Mary’s is a product of the mission, values and charism of the Sisters of the Holy Names — who built an institution that’s been educating and nurturing the spirits of young women for 154 years. We’ve been blessed and our future looks bright. Thank you for believing in the power Christina Friedhoff of this education and our unique mission.
