Slide 5 He grew... ivy hanging from a basket. The ivy is beneath a picture of fruits.
Slide 6 The cow wishes to grow the fruits which are in the picture. Apple. Pear. Grapes.
Slide 7 He grew herbs in little pots near the window.
Slide 8 He grew these herbs: chives, mint, oregano, rosemary.
Slide 9 He grew a purple flower in a pot on the wall.
Slide 10 Now, winter has left and spring has come! Now, the cow is able to grow plants outside of his house!

Slide 3 First, the cow visits a place called “The Roman Forum.”
Slide 4 The cow enters the Roman Forum on the Sacred Way.
Slide 5 The cow sees a big monument: the Arch of Titus.
Slide 6 The cow walks underneath the Arch of Titus and sees a picture. The picture shows Roman soldiers who are carrying treasures.
Slide 7 Then, the cow sees the entire Roman Forum.
Slide 8 The cow walks and sees the Curia (Senate House). In the Curia, senators met, spoke, and made laws.
Slide 9 The cow finds another arch. This arch is the Arch of Septimius Severus.
Slide 10 Near the Arch of Septimius Severus is the Cloaca Maxima (sewer). There are dirty things in the Cloaca Maxima.
Slide 11 Then, the cow enters the Mamertine Prison. This prison, where the enemies of Rome Jugurtha and Vercingetorix were, is dark and cold. The cow is afraid!

Slide 31 Swimming pool. These are the Baths of Caracalla. The cow stands in the cold room and sees the swimming pool. In the cold room, the water was cold. In the swimming pool, people swam.
Slide 32 Now, the cow stands in the hot room. He sees the warm room through the arch. In the hot room, the water was hot. In the warm room, the water was neither cold nor hot.
Slide 33 On the floors of the baths are mosaics. The Romans made mosaics with very small tiles.
Slide 34 This is the exercise area in the baths, where Romans worked out.
Slide 35 The cow leaves the baths. He walks on the Appian Way. The beginning of the Appian Way is at Rome, and the end of the Appian Way is at Brundisium.
Slide 36 On the Appian Way are many tombs. Tombs had to be outside the walls of the city. This large tomb is the Tomb of Caecilia Metella.
Slide 37 The cow wishes to drink water. On the fountain is written “SPQR.” “SPQR” means “The Senate and the Roman People.”
Slide 38 Last, the cow visits the Mausoleum of Hadrian.
Slide 39 The mausoleum is big. The cow climbs the mausoleum and sees Rome.
