Bushnell will be at Wilton Library on Thursday, July 2 at 7 pm to discuss her newest novel, Killing Monica. Admission is free but attendees must register in advance on the library’s website at www.wiltonlibrary.org. “We are delighted to welcome Candace Bushnell to Wilton Library,” said Karen Danvers, program and rentals manager at Wilton Library. “We’re hoping to showcase our Author Talk program to a whole new audience. Fans of Sex and the City, as well as Lipstick Jungle, are sure to enjoy Candace and her latest book. Killing Monica is smart, funny, and surprising – a real page-turner,” Danvers continued. In Killing Monica, Bushnell spoofs and skewers her way through pop culture, celebrity worship, fame, and even the meaning of life itself. The novel tells the story of a famous writer who must resort to faking her own death in order to get her life back from her most infamous creation – Monica. With her trademark wit and style, Killing Monica has been called Bushnell’s sharpest, funniest book to date. Killing Monica goes on sale June 23; copies will also be available for sale and signing at the July 2 Author Talk, courtesy of Elm Street Books, New Canaan.
