NORTH ISLES AWARDS 2016 Logos Friday 18th November 2016 Baltasound Hall, Baltasound, Unst To celebrate the best of living and working in the North Isles and it’s people For more information please telephone Kellie or Selina on 01957 711449 The North Isles of Shetland are getting set for a new and exciting event which will take place on Friday the 18th of November 2016: The North Isles Awards. The North Isles Tourism Team at Unst Partnership are delighted to be organising these fun and light hearted awards to celebrate all that is great about living and working in Unst, Yell & Fetlar and it’s people. Readers have the nest two weeks until Friday 28th October to forward their suggestions to decide which people in the North Isles of Unst, Yell and Fetlar are worthy of recognition. We are really looking forward to receiving your nominations. If you want to have your say, please make sure that you fill out the coupon opposite and post it or deliver it to Unst Partnership office at Hagdale Industrial Estate in Baltasound Unst. Alternatively you can email your suggestions to [email protected] or [email protected] with all nominations to reach us by 5pm on Friday 28th October. Following a public Facebook vote between the 3 islands, the awards ceremony will take place in Unst. The vote had over 150 responses, with Unst just taking the lead from Yell, with Fetlar in third. We hope that lots of local people will come together from the three islands to join us at the awards event which to take place at the Baltasound Hall. Nominations can also be made online by e-mail or by forwarding suggestions to us via facebook.com/visit unst or facbook.com/visit yell. Once the nominations have been received they will be judged and there will be three people nominated in each category. Each person will be invited to attend the awards ceremony with a partner. The winners will be announced at the presentation evening on Friday 18th November hosted by North Isles Tourism Team at the Baltasound Hall. We will be selling tickets through the Unst Partnership office and these will cost £20 each including a three course dinner and a glass of bubbly on arrival. .
