Khalid, the new Doctor Fate, is very much like Peter Parker, struggling to reconcile his superhero and regular lives. Book one of the series was interesting as we saw him accept his new role, but the remaining volumes went downhill. This book collects the final issues, and we see Khalid training with his uncle Kent Nelson, the original Doctor Fate. Nelson basically helps Khalid tie up a series of loose ends for previous issues. The stories were okay, but the artwork left much to be desired. DC seems to be in the practice now of using a different artist per issue and/or arc, and we get wildly different incarnations of the cast from issue to issue.1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. has always been one of my favorite heroes. I think Khalid is a great new character and will make for an interesting incarnation of the servant of Nabu as the series continues.
