Not surprisingly, the joint was crawling with talent scouts and moguls, many opting to check out both bands. Momma Stud's set had 'em rockin', but none more so than RCA's John Axelrod, who announced, "I still don't know how to act!" as he jitterbugged past — or was that the Lindy? That kind of body language would seem to translate as "serious interest."
