Applications : Sensors, green catalysts (metallodendrimers and transition-metal nanoparticles as nano-reactors), medicinal vectors, devices for molecular electronics and photonics. Major research achievements - Concept and design of organometallic electron-reservoir complexes and their synthetic and mechanistic applications. - Organometallic C-H activation in arene chemistry and, since 1979, application to the iterative formation of multiple C-C bonds leading to stars, dendritic cores, dendrons and giant dendrimers beyond the de Gennes dense-packing limit. - First organometallics dendrimers and their applications as redox sensors and molecular electronic devices (molecular batteries). First metal-nanoparticle-cored dendrimers and their use as anion (ATP) sensors. - Nano-organometallic chemistry and catalysis including selective alkene and alkyne metathesis reactions. - First click metallodendrimers.
