    SOUTH GARDA KARTING - LONATO DEL GARDA (BRESCIA), ITALY THE HISTORY OF WINTER CUP: THE KARTING TALENTS SHOW SINCE 1996 The Winter Cup to be held next 19-22 February 2015 at South Garda Karting of Lonato del Garda (Brescia, Italy) celebrates its 20th edition, an important event that recalls the history of this race and of International Karting of the past 20 years. This edition has been enriched by the validity as first round of the International Trophy Bridgestone Supercup. The Winter Cup got birth back in 1996 on the stunning circuit of Lonato del Garda by the will of the building Surveyor Angelo Corberi, who designed and funded the racetrack built in 1988 that has housed the most important national and international events since, including CIK-FIA World and European Championships. The first appointment with the Winter Cup 1996, race that up to that point had the denomination of Italy Cup, was a consequence of the agreement with the most important Outfits of the time to run an international race following CIK regulations on this track, ahead of the FSA and FA World Championship scheduled in Lonato on the 15th of September of the same year. From the following year, the Winter Cup has been the traditional opening to the sporting season and this status of first important race of the year has soon made it a very sought after and important event for all constructors fielding their works teams and for the strongest teams that take this occasion as a first chance for a real technical and sporting comparison with rivals.

  • ART Grand Prix È Campione Nella Classe KF2 Della WSK Euro Series
    Thank you WSK! ART Grand Prix were back on-track last weekend at Castelletto di Branduzzo, as the Italian venue hosted the 2012 WSK Final Cup. The Factory Team planned to take advantage from this event to test some of the upgrades for the next season. ART Grand Prix lined-up in the KF3 and KF2 classes only and completed several material tests without aiming just for a race result. For example, Ben Hanley entered just the KF2 practice in order to test a brand-new chassis/engine combination. All the drivers provided their feedback to complete the scheduled work and a huge amount of data was collected in the process: something that could become key in setting next season's technical base. The Karting Division of ART Grand Prix were also pleased to rejoin forces with Yifan Xia, who came back on-track after a broken collarbone at Zuera kept him out of contention for two months. The Chinese youngster showed to be in excellent physical shape and continued to climb his learning curve in KF3, following the same successful path that brought him positive results at his first season in go-kart racing. The KF2 class confirmed the skills of Charles Leclerc, who clocked the fastest lap time of the qualifying session and stayed constantly on top during the whole weekend. Former CRG driver Max Verstappen received three prizes for his brilliant F1 season. The yearly FIA Prize Giving Ceremony held on 4th December in Paris celebrated the 2015 champions. The young Dutch driver of CRG Jorrit Pex, 22 years old, got on the stage at the Lido on the Champs-Elysèes to receive the FIA 2015 trophy for his stunning victory of the KZ World Championship in Le Mans on 13th September. Three awards were also given in Paris to the other Dutch enfant prodige Max Verstappen, 18 years old, who has been Jorrit Pex’s team mate at CRG until 2013 before becoming the Formula 1 rising star with Toro Rosso. Max Verstappen was celebrated for his excellent first F1 season receiving the FIA Personality of the Year (prize decided by a panel of journalists), the Rooky of the Year award (decided by the FIA Drivers Commission led by Emerson Fittipaldi) and he also was given the Action of the Year trophy, prize decided by fans for the best race action that he already received in 2014 for his great Formula 3 season. In 2013 Max Verstappen already won the Driver of the Year by WSK Promotion trophy for the victory, with CRG at 15 years of age, of the KZ World Championship, KF European Championship, KZ European Championship, WSK Euro Series KZ1 and WSK Master Series KZ2, all in the same year.

This 21st Century is called as “THE ERA OF AUTOMOBILE”. The various types of vehicle present in the universe are with their special purpose, may be for defence, security, traveling, racing, etc. Go-karting is the part of racing vehicle which showcase our technical as well as theoretical knowledge. In America kart is an on road car, but it is specially made by off roads. The competition is held all over the world. The various racing competitions are BAJA, Formula1, Go-kart, etc. It is most popular because of simplicity of rules and is professional as well as non-professional and the kart is made as per their requirements. Go-kart is same as formula 1 but with low specification and components. It’s having very less ground clearance. The kart dose not consist any kind of suspension system. It is also modified as per the comfort of driver & it is single seated. The all major components of automobile are used while fabricating. As a free time activity, it can be performed by almost anybody and permitting licences racing for anyone from the age of 8 onwards. The safety of driver is a major part while design as well as fabrication.
