Factsheet Central i-City – Everyday New Experiences Central i-City is the 33rd Shopping Centre and a first overseas project of CPN. It is a joint venture between CPN and I-City Properties Sdn Bhd (ICP), an affiliate of Malaysian property developer i-Berhad. The project represents the unique Thai DNA and stems from its ‘Center of Life’ aspiration and lifestyle destination for the community. Central i-City is located in i-City Ultrapolis, a lifestyle hub in the capital of Selangor, Malaysia, which the Malaysian government has pushed forward to become a complete world-class tourist destination and “Malaysia Cybercenter” in the future. Grand Opening 15th June 2019 Location A total 11.12 acres (about 28 rai) of land under the ownership and located in Section 7 of Shah Alam City, Selangor, Malaysia. 22 km. from Kuala Lumpur and between two main highways (Federal Highway and Baru Lembah Klang Highway). Positioning The project is planned as an integrated community center in the west of Selangor, serving as a main business center, a residential area, and a recreational zone equipped with complete entertainment, a shopping mall, a cyber-center, office space for leading businesses, a hotel, a housing complex, retail shops, as well as a water park, a snow dome, and a Ferris wheel. It is also planned as a tourist spot with night lighting decoration. Project Components Shopping Complex: GFA of 278,000 sqm / 6 levels (LG, G, 1-4) The anchor tenants as follow: SOGO Department store: the first SOGO in Klang and Shah Alam. New brands are available including contemporary fashion apparel and lifestyle brands, beauty products and fragrances in the Beauty Hall, children department, and home & decor. Village Grocer Supermarket: the first and largest branch in Klang and Shah Alam. It offers a combination of grocery products as well as food and beverage offerings. It also has 8 digital screens, largest Samsung Onyx LED screen in Southeast Asia, to cater to a maximum audience capacity of 1,800. Parking Facility: Capable to accommodate more than 3,000 cars Best Strengths Good Location: The project situated in „i-City Ultrapolis‟ the best lifestyle hub in Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia. The i-city Ultrapolis is a huge mixed-used project comprises of shopping center, large office buildings, residential buildings, a hotel and a cyber & innovations center. The i- City project is a “Malaysia Cyber Center” which the Malaysian government is pushing forward to become a complete world-class tourist destination. „Center of Life’ in the ASEAN region: CPN is creating a „Regional Retail Platform‟ to pave the way for and introduce Thai brands into international markets, also support Thai brands and products as well as tourism by spearheading a concept of „Thainess to The World‟. CPN aims Central i-City to become a shopping center that offers „Malaysian friendliness with Thai hospitality‟, presenting the identity of Thai culture to the eyes of foreigners. „Retail Mix‟ specifically fulfills customers need such as a Halal food zone and a fashion zone for Muslim Malaysians; and an international food zone for Chinese, Indian and Westerners. Supermarket offers products ranging from Halal and local items to the Royal Project products from Thailand. Moreover, also provide space in Toys, Kids and a Family Zone to help support the target group of families with children. Target Customers 600,000 residents of Shah Alam, comprising middle to upper-income groups, noting that the middle-income group with high purchasing power is mushrooming. The over 5 million residents of Selangor and those from nearby states are also potential customers.
