In the coming years, the Fair will be held in multiple locations around the world, such as Hong Kong, Madrid and London in 2019. The World Film Fair will be the first of its kind in that not only will the Fair be held in New York but there will also be World Film Fair screenings held in multiple locations and venues around the world during the week of the Fair (26th-31st of October, 2018)! So the films selected to be screened at the World Film Fair will be shown to a global audience of both film goers and film industry companies such as distributors, production companies, film buyers and investors! We will be combining different sources and companies and joining them together into one big global project, where our main goal is to giving a platform to the films of students and children so they can be seen around the world. It is time for the focus to shift from the small number of Hollywood blockbuster films, which are oftentimes similar and repetitive, on to the independent films and projects from the world's youth, whose new and revolutionary ideas and stories will change the face of Hollywood film in the very near future! One of the World Film Fair’s main aims is to promote the films and scripts of students from all over the world as these types of projects often get overlooked and don’t have the necessary funding to submit to large film festivals/markets. Therefore, we have created a special sector for student films and have allowed them to submit their projects to the Fair for free. The best quality student films at the festival will be eligible to win a grant. Students will get the opportunity for their work to be shown to the wide variety of film industry professionals such as distribution companies, production companies, film buyers and investors that will be attending the World Film Fair. After the Fair they may be contacted by a number of companies who are interested in working with their film/script. The World Film Fair will consist of 3,000 new films and projects. For the first time in the history of film markets, 75 Film Festivals will be held during the World Film Fair, all at one time in one place, showcasing a range of the best films from around the World to the prospective buyers at the Fair. There will be a total of 300 screenings held in 5 of the best New York theaters. The Festivals are already established worldwide in Europe, Asia, North America and Australasia and will be screening a selection of their award winning films during the World Film Fair. The World Film Fair will also host a Gala Dinner, hosted at a top New York restaurant. The dinner will be attended by all of the exhibitors from the Fair and also a variety of well known actors and actresses, which you would be invited to attend should you choose to participate in the Fair. • Persepsi Penonton Di Malaysia Terhadap Filem Yang Memenangi Academy Awards
Kata kunci: Academy Awards, persepsi, kurang sambutan, minat, filem ABSTRACT In Malaysia, movie consumption has huge potential to contribute to the economics and this can be proven by the high box-office grossing at the local cinemas.
