Udaipur also known as the "City of Lakes," the "Venice of the East," or the "Kashmir of Rajasthan," is a very popular tourist destination, and known for its history, culture, scenic locations and the Rajput-era palaces. Apart lakes Udaipur is also popular for its massive historic forts and palaces, museums, galleries, natural locations and gardens, architectural temples, as well as traditional fairs, festivals and structures. The University presently consists of 4 constituent colleges and about 200 affiliated colleges in South Rajasthan. At present it is offering 135 UG, PG, M.Phil., Ph.D. diploma and certificate courses with our 2.25 lac enrolled students. It is the NAAC accredited 'A' Grade University. MUSIC (a) Classical Vocal Solo: (Hindustani / Karnatak) 1) Only one entry per Institution is allowed. Duration of performance- 10 min. 2) Time for stage/ Instruments setting is maximum 5 minutes. 3) Maximum number of accompanists is two. 4) Item can be presented in either Hindustani or Karnatk style. 5) Cinema songs are not allowed under this item. 6) Sufficient thought and care must be exercised in the choice of Raga and composition. 7) Judgment will be based on the qualities like, taal, selection of raga, composition and general impression.

The entire study is based on secondarysources of data. The growth and development of Udaipur city have been discussed in terms of expansion of the city limits from walled city to the present municipal boundary over the two periods of times i.e. pre-independence and post-independence period. However, the trends land use of the city has been examined for four periods of times from 1971 to 2011 and pattern of land use of the city has been analyzed for 2011. The study reveals that there is significant rise in land use in the categories of residential, commercial, industrial, institutional, entertainment, public and semi-public, circulation, the government reserved, agriculture, forest, water bodies, other open areas. Key words: Growth, Development, Land use, Spatio-Temporal, Growth Introduction Land is the most significant of all the natural resources and the human-use of land resources gives rise to land use. Of Geography, UCSSH, MLSU Udaipur ABSTRACT Nathdwara is a religious town located on the banks of Banas River in Aravali hills, housing the world famous Srinathji temple in Rajsamand district of Rajasthan. The city has undergone phenomenal growth during the past decade with a rapid increase in population by 13.5 percent. Along with population increase significant changes in areal extent, land use and transportation network characterize the urban growth of the town. Urban sprawl is defined by haphazard patch work of development, which leads to improper development in any city. It is necessary to quantify and monitor the growth of a city in order to avoid problems related to urban congestion and haphazard growth. This paper aims of observing, mapping tabulating, comparing and analyzing the primary as well as secondary data, to calculate a composite index, this index categories the wards of the town as developed, developing and under-developed. The present paper also endeavors to trace the pace of urban development during the decade 2001-2011. There has been an attempt to observe the regional disparities that exists among different wards, the rationale for the disparities and the analysis there of, has also found scope viewing the futuristic needs of the town. This paper also includes the formulated suggestions to ensure the well-planned provisions for urban-amenities.

The city is the ultimate in Rajput fantasy with its cream-coloured havelis (traditional mansions) and palaces, one of which, floating in Pichola Lake, is among the world’s most famous hotels, the Lake Palace. In the south of the region are Rajasthan’s two finest forts, Chittorgarh (Chittor), sprawl- ing over an enormous hilltop plateau, and remote Kumbalgarh, perched at 1100m, with breathtaking views over the dense Aravalli Hills fading into a pale blue horizon. Here, too, are two Jain temple complexes where artistic virtuosity reached dizzy peaks. Ranakpur, deep in an Aravalli valley, has a hall of 1444 pillars, each one different; Dilwara, on a hilltop near Mt Abu, sports marble carving so delicate that it’s almost transparent. Mt Abu is Ra- jasthan’s only hill station; a cool holiday destination for locals, it’s still largely undiscovered by foreign tourists. If you’re keen to get off the well-beaten track, Bundi, though definitely discovered, is an enchanting town, painted Brahmin blue and overlooked by a palace; nearby Kota holds another fine palace. Jhalawar, meanwhile, is really off the trail, with its mighty, forgotten fort and nearby city of temples. Serene Jaisamand, a vast blue-reflecting hill-ringed expanse, is Asia’s biggest artificial lake. The region offers some exhilarating activities too. You can trek or ride the beautiful countryside near Udaipur, Mt Abu or Kumbalgarh, cycle about Bundi, or take a boat trip down the crocodile habitats of the Chambal River.
