I've been waiting for this since The Death of Superman, but this is not that l excited about. It has so many pointless jokes which kill the serious story. There were moments that l thought l was watching Marvel movie. There are too much humor in it! And the movie wasn't even delivered good boss fight, the final boss had a poor unrealistic motivation. Superman: Reign of the Supermen by Dan Jurgens Since the films largely focused around telling New 52 related stories, covering the Death of Superman is a heavy undertaking. What went right and what needed improvement in the Death of Superman and Reign of the Supermen. Love comic books and everything Marvel, DC and anything in between? The Death Of Superman is a strange adaptation of its comic godfather. For me, I think the problem with this movie is a lack of focus on telling its own story. The film is also heavily reliant on the audience already having context with the Death of Superman story. There are some changes that I prefer over the original story. Doomsday running through the entire Justice League with Superman as the last line of defense was a welcome improvement. Instead of having all the other heroes Superman Reign of the Superman: Reign of the Superman on in shock as Superman dukes it out with the brutal alien. However, it comes back to a lack of focus. Too much of this film is dedicated to setting up plot points for its follow up. Favoring setting up a sequel instead of telling a good story. In reality, these points are all addressed in the next film. The story is constantly bouncing around, focusing on other things. This leaves the finale feeling kind of sudden and vapid. That simply is not the case with this movie. Death Of Superman has its moments, but they are too few and far between to save it from itself. The world must cope with the loss of Superman - and the sudden emergence of four would-be heirs to the title - in the all-new, action-packed "Reign of the Su If the lack of focus in its predecessor was intentional in making this movie feel more compelling, then it succeeded. Reign does a great job playing up the element of mystery captured in the comic arc. With several different Super People running around Metropolis, the movie does a good job highlighting the lengths the world goes to in order to fill the Superman-sized hole that was left after his death. I enjoyed all the stark characterization each of the Supermen had. Each felt like they had a significant role in creating drama, tension, and most importantly, conflict. If you enjoyed the Reign of the Supermen comic story, then the movie should capture the same essence. Checkpoint XP. Home About Articles Podcasts. Through an examination of media texts produced from the early 2000s to the late 2010s, I establish how a confluence of cultural and ideological conditions – including post-9/11 anxieties, the ‘paternalisation’ of ideal masculinity in postfeminism, the commercialisation of ‘girl power’ and a fortified religio-political emphasis on girls’ bodies – precipitated the normalisation of two gendered subjectivities: the ‘sovereign postfeminist father’ and the ‘can-do/at-risk princess daughter’.

    WILLIAM WASHINGTON Biography William Washington has worked in the motion picture industry for 30 plus years and counts among his credits over 400 Film projects. Television Shows, Commercials and Music Videos. Washington’s career began when he was hired as a stuntman on the feature film “Marked for Death”, starring Steven Segal in 1989. He continued working as a stuntman for 4 years, during which time, he became one of Hollywood’s go-to African American stuntmen, frequently working with Terry Leonard, one of the most celebrated Stunt Coordinators of the time. Washington’s curiosity on set, where he had the opportunity to interact with and learn about every department, exposed him to the various aspects of filmmaking. It was through such interaction that he gained his first opportunity as Stunt Coordinator on the multi-award-winning feature film “What’s Love Got to Do with It”, directed by Brian Gibson, starring Angela Bassett and Laurence Fishburne. In 2008, Washington tried his hand at producing and directing “House Arrest”, his first feature film, starring Stacey Dash and The Game. Given its limited budget, there were many challenges, all of which Washington was able to overcome through critical problem solving. On January 1, 2013, Washington’s tenacity and love for filmmaking culminated in a distribution deal with Grindstone Entertainment Group for “Theatrical Release”, which he also directed and produced. In addition to his interests on set, Washington developed an interest in the development stage of projects, particularly in screenwriting. He has developed several screenplays, including some of which are under consideration by investment groups for financing, namely “BADADAPTATION”, “Fight of Glory”, “Jolted”, “The Showdown”, “Ice”, “ Showtime Borders”, and television series, “The Paladin”.
