This year marks the beginning of a new decade in the age of our university. As of today, GJU has exceeded 4000 students. While growing, all efforts have been made to sustain the excellent reputation and further build upon the great achievements that have been built over the past years, to continue to flourish as an excellent example of transnational applied education. As a result of this growth, the number of our German partner universities has exceeded (100). PROJECT OFFICE MISSION

The four employees of the project office coordinate the whole consortium and participate with Prof. Dr. Geiger in the strategic planning of the GJU. Among other things, the total budget of the project in Magdeburg includs scholarship payments managed and accounted and the corresponding means to the competent organizations requested. They are responsible for the business contacts that students support, financial management and project coordination with all stakeholders. The German project team has already managed to attract more than 100 dedicated German universities to its cooperating consortium.

OFFICE FOR INDUSTRIAL LINKS MISSION

One of GJU’s main features is the university’s strong cooperation with the industry. To foster this collaboration, the Office for Industrial Links (OIL) was established in 2009. It is responsible for building up and facilitating sustainable university-industry partnerships by organizing special business events, lectures, workshops, and company presentations, and providing career services for its students and graduates. Further, it supports the students during their internship search in Germany and it is strongly involved in GJU’s alumni and entrepreneurship activities.

HIGHER EDUCATION FOR YOUNG EDU- and EDU-JORDAN are projects funded by the European Union. They aim to provide a framework for helping Syrian refugees as well as Jordanians in communities that are hosting Syrian refugees to SYRIANS AND get access to higher education through a set of scholarship programs, and give the affected young individuals the opportunity to pursue JORDANIANS academic degrees or acquire vocational skills. The projects are lead by the German Jordanian University with three partner institutes: Zarqa PROJECT University, Yarmouk University and Al-Quds College.
