Leading off play on Centre Court French qualifier Paul-Henri Mathieu and Spaniard Nicolas Almagro. The 33-year-old Mathieu has a 2-1 head-to-head advantage over the 29-year-old Almagro. Following is Austrian top seed Dominic Thiem, who takes on top German / No. 6 seed Philipp Kohlschreiber for the first time.
