BELLE SCHWADERER AWARD winner in Saturday’s parade was the Cass City Zonta Club’s float, which had as a theme, “world hands.” HARRY CRANDELL AWARD winner was this float titled Village Indian Givers. The float was entered by Doug Thane of Cass City. PARADE WATCHERS -- Among the thousands watching Saturday’s July 4th festival parade were Robin Brantley of Cass City and daughters (from left) Kimberly, 4, Melissa, 5, and Lisa, 2.

ODOR REMOVER -- Probably the most popular entry in Saturday’s parade was the manure spreader that followed the Thumb Draft Horse Association horses and wagons. The youn sters cleaned up what the horses left behind and put it in tgh e spreader.
