Welcome to this second issue of the Collegedale/ Ooltewah Newcomer’s Guide. We sincerely hope you enjoy our efforts to bring you, “the newcomer,” a use- ful resource about our area. Collegedale is a family rich community in which to raise a family. From Our Inde- pendence celebration at our Veterans Park to Imagination Station, our very own Public Library to the abundant out- door opportunities available here, we have many ameni- ties that contribute to our “community”. Our Greenway walking trail system traverses nearly three miles through the heart of our community, following Wolftever Creek most of the way. There are several playgrounds at the western and eastern boundaries, as well as very nice bath- room facilities inside a modest pavilion which is available to our citizens for gatherings of all types. Plus, you will find our staff at City Hall courteous and willing to help you in any way they can. We hope you find a new “home” here and become a part of our “family”.
