70 1966 Honda CL160 Twin 161 1960-69 Lightweight Overseas Bike Details: This Honda CL is a very rare machine in America and even more so over here. It was manufactured for just one year, 1966, as a try out for flagging sales of the CB 160. It was hoped that by turning it into a scrambler type bike it would attract more sales in the American market, something the British bike sellers did later on with high-level pipes etc. This machine was imported into the UK in 2014 and was subjected to a rough restoration. The silverware was good but the mechanics not so good. I stripped it and started again doing resprays on the engine cases, fitting new tyres and sorting the various bent parts that it has acquired in its early years. A great little machine, and 'Granddad' to all the later Honda models that sported high level pipes.
