It serves as a central gathering place for family and friends to give emotional support to one another. Most importantly, a funeral initiates a healthy grieving process. Our services and commitment do not end with the funeral. We now provide our families an exquisite new program at Whispering Pines Funeral Home “Executors Advantage” at no cost to the family. Whispering Pines Funeral Home will complete Canada Pension Plan Forms, cancel health cards, drivers’ licenses, and firearm licenses to name a few. Unless otherwise identified, all prices do not include applicable taxes © Ontario Funeral Service Association 2012 - Licensed for use by OFSA members only PROFESSIONAL & STAFF SERVICES Basic professional fees $ 540.00 Professional consultation with licensed personnel, which may include but is not limited to, expert advice on options to meet your needs, including essential services relating to disposition, drafting notices, planning scheduling of services, advising regarding possible government benefits. A Basic professional fee is payable whenever we provide services to you. *Co-ordinating rites and ceremonies Co-ordination of all rites and ceremonies, $ 485.00 before, during and after they have been provided, including services and supplies provided by us, as well as those provided by third party suppliers, such as flowers and death notices. *Documentation – permits, forms, etc. $ 375.00 Completion and filing of all documents necessary to carry out the services and supplies requested, including, but not limited to, death registration, burial permit, coroner’s certificate for cremation, documentation necessary to ship the body out of the country, clergy record and church records. Proof of Death Certificates are charged at a rate of $ 75.00 for 6 certificates Basic care of remains (requires Facilities for preparation/embalming/shelter) $ 255.00 The preparation of the body for placement into the casket, including bathing, dressing and the setting of facial features for identification or viewing without embalming. Embalming of remains $ 715.00 Embalming is the process of replacing blood and bodily fluids with chemical preservatives. It is a process of sanitation, restoration, and temporary preservation. Embalming is not legally required but may be recommended to preserve the body between the time of death and the visitation or disposition of the deceased. Our professional funeral directors will make a recommendation based on the condition of the body and expected service needs. We suggest this service be utilized should the funeral be extended beyond 24 hours after the death. Your permission is required. Unless otherwise identified, all applicable taxes will be added to the prices indicated © Ontario Funeral Service Association 2012 - Licensed for use by OFSA members only Staff services for visitation $ 325.00 Staff to coordinate and oversee the visitation (informal gathering) at our premises for a period up to 4 hours. If the visitation takes place at an off-site location, an equipment charge (see below) and additional staff services charges will apply Off site Equipment Charge $ 150.00 for visitation Off Site Staff Service for Visitation Off-site additional charge of $ 50.00 per hour calculated from the time of departure for off site Visitation until completion of Visitation Period Staff services for ceremony-onsite $ 325.00 Staff to coordinate and oversee the ceremony or memorial at our premises Staff Service for ceremony Off-site additional charge of $ 50.00 per hour calculated from the time of departure for off site Service until completion of service *Staff Services for Reception There is no charge for the first staff member employed for a reception function, each additional staff member required is charged at a rate of $ 20.00 per hour with a two- hour minimum. FACILITY CHARGES Basic Facilities Use of our general and common areas, parking lot, public washrooms, cloakrooms, $ 485.00 heating, lighting and maintenance. This charge applies whenever we provide services to you. Facilities for preparation/embalming/shelter $ 345.00 Facilities used to prepare, embalm, and/or shelter the body; this charge applies whenever the body is in our facility for any purpose.
