The successful candidate will have a good geographical knowledge of Somerset and working experience of manual handling. The Oak Partnership Trust is seeking to appoint a clerk to the local governance committee at Ruishton CofE VC Primary School. Base: Ruishton CofE VC Primary School in the first instance. Opportunities may arise to clerk for other local governance committees of the Trust in the future. Note – this role may require travel between school sites across the trust. Grade 13: £19,171 - £21,166 full time equivalent (£9.94 - £10.97 per hour). Responsible to: Chair of Local Governance Committee and clerk to the Trust Board. Working Time: To be worked on a flexible basis dependent on planned meetings, including evening meetings, and the priorities of the school and the trust board. Anticipated annual working hours will be the equivalent of 164 hours per annum. This post will be term time only. The committee is effective and contributes fully to the school’s success. The Clerk will be accountable to the committee, working effectively with the committee chair, the Headteacher, other committee members and the clerk to the Trust Board. The clerk’s main role is to provide professional clerking services to the committee. They will: • Be able to take accurate minutes from their own notes, to produce well-presented minutes for distribution; • Collate and distribute agendas and associated paperwork in advance of meetings; • Be available to take minutes at all meetings throughout the academic year. Meetings will normally take place in the evenings; • Provide procedural and legal advice and guidance; • Attend relevant training events directed by the local governance committee. Experience is desirable, but not essential for this role. Candidates must be ICT literate and have access to a computer. They should have an interest in education, be tactful, reliable and have a good sense of humour. The successful candidate must follow Trust procedures regarding confidentiality and act in a professional manner at all times with regard to information disclosed during the meetings.

ENFORCEMENT OFFICER – Fixed Term Contract – 6 months Enforcement Team – Neighbourhood Services Mendip District Council is an innovative authority set in the of Somerset. We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Enforcement Officer on a fixed term contract for a 6 month period to work within our Enforcement Team.
