Itinerary

Day 1 Depart Hong Kong and Arrive Helsinki Arrival at Helsinki Airport. After immigration Take the City Bus at stop nr 10 just outside arrival level at Terminal T2. The bus will take you to Elielinaukio Square at Helsinki . Walk to your hotel and have a refreshing walk in surrounding downtown area. Have dinner at restaurant Zetor in Kaivopiha Square and enjoy a 3-course set menu consists of traditional and beloved Finnish dishes. Overnight in Helsinki

Day 2 Helsinki - Ivalo After breakfast you can check-out and store your luggage at the front desk. Take a morning stroll from your hotel through the main downtown area to on the Senate Square in the eastern end of Aleksanterinkatu and Hallituskatu streets. Arrive the meeting point (meeting at the left separated side tower of Helsinki Cathedral, middle level of the front steps. Look for a guide with the funny Finland hat.) at 10:20 to have a guided Happy Helsinki Walk: this guided walk will take you to Kauppatori Market Place and the Market Hall, Design district and the Esplanade shopping streetand park as well as new shopping area and the wooden Chapel of Silence. Guidance in English. After the tour pick up your luggage and head for Elielinaukio Square. Take the Finnair City bus from Elielinaukio Square (platform 30) to the airport. Take flight AY559 which depart at 16:25 for Ivalo. Your driver will meet you at the arrival hall and transfer you to Kakslauttanen Resort. In the evening a 3-course dinner, which will be served at one of the Resort Restaurants (Aurora or Log Restaurant). Please check the exact timing and place at the front desk upon arrival. Day 3 Ivalo Today you will have activities to explore the wild nature and the extremely long day light hours. Please confirm the timings of your program at the front desk! A sightseeing tour will take you to the House of Santa Claus and the huge wooden Celebration House. You will also see the new Kelo-Igloo area and the Aurora Restaurant before continuing to a Sami Village with reindeers that you are able to feed. The Sami people are the original inhabitants of Lapland with their own culture, language and way of life. Many still run reindeer farms. The tour includes transportation and light refreshment. Duration approximately 1,5 hours. Midnight Sun Viewing at the top of Kaunispää Fell, will be organized late in the evening weather permitting. On cloudy sky the sun is not visible though the day light stays through the night. The hotel offers a wide variety of other activities and excursions with extra charge. On your leisure time you are able to try light hiking on the surrounding paths to the forest or to the nearby fells. There is a crystal clear mountain river in which you may bath or swim if you wish. The public sauna bath for hotel guests is open daily in the evening. In the evening a 3-course dinner is served at one of the restaurants. Please check time and place at front desk in advance. Day 4 Ivalo – Helsinki After breakfast, check out and transfer to Ivalo airport at 8:45 (please check the exact time at the front desk). Take flight AY557 which departs at 10:45 for Helsinki. Arrival to Helsinki airport. Take the Finnair City Bus at stop nr 10 just outside arrival level at Terminal T2. The bus will take you to Elielinaukio Square at . Walk to your hotel and check in. After check-in you have time to explore Helsinki at your own pace. The major shopping streets Esplanade, Aleksanterinkatu and Mannerheimintie are within walking distance. Your Helsinki visit includes also something very typical Finnish: a “Korvapuusti” cinnamon bun with a cup of coffee or tea. This might be the most traditional sweet bread in Finland and very beloved even today. Take a short stroll to Café Esplanad at Pohjois- 37 (open until 21:00 hrs). Overnight in Helsinki

Day 5/6 Depart Helsinki/Arrive Hong Kong Breakfast at the hotel. Check-out and you could store your luggage at the hotel. Free time in Helsinki before taking your return flight. Finnair buses leave Elielinaukio Square (platform 30) every 15-20 minutes for the airport. Check your flight departure time in advance to choose an optimal bus journey. Take the flight back home and arrive HK the next day.
