WASHINGTON STATE — UCLA owns a 10-8-1 record in games played in Pullman (road games have also been played in Spokane,WA and Portland, OR during the series). A year ago in the Rose Bowl, UCLA pulled out a 28-25 decision over the Cougars. The Bruins trailed for much of the fi rst three quarters of the contest, and were still down, 22-14, early in the fourth quarter when a 32-yard rush by Johnathan Franklin helped to spark the team. Kevin Prince, who had entered the game in the second quarter due to an injury to Richard Brehaut, passed nine-yards to Josh Smith for a touchdown to make it 22-20 with 10:52 to play. The two-point conversion attempt failed. A WSU fi eld goal made it 25-20 with 5:49 remaining. The Bruins answered with Prince connecting on a 58-yard pass play with Nelson Rosario which put the Bruins at the Cougar 10-yard line. On third down, Evans grabbed a seven-yard scoring toss from Prince with 3:26 on the clock. The two-point conversion pass to Rosario made it 28-25. Andrew Abbott’s interception stopped WSU’s comeback chances. Franklin fi nished with 110 yards rushing. In UCLA’s last trip to Pullman (2009), the Bruins forced turnovers on WSU’s fi rst three series (interceptions by Akeem Ayers-2, now with the Titans, and Rahim Moore, now with the Broncos) en route to a 43-7 victory. Quarterback Kevin Prince accounted for 390 yards in total off ense, 314 passing and 76 rushing, including ROSE BOWL: THE 31st YEAR a 68-yard scoring jaunt. The totals you see are correct. *Looking for sortable projections by position or category? Check out the projections tab inside the ESPN Fantasy game. *'Team stat rankings' is where each team is projected to finish in the category that is shown. *'Unit Grades' is not related to fantasy football and is an objective ranking of each team at 10 key positions. The overall grades are weighted based on positional importance. The scale is 4.0 (best) to 0.1 (worst). A full rundown of Unit Grades can be found on page 51. *'Strength of Schedule Ranking' is based on 2020 rosters (not 2019 team record). '1' is easiest and '32' hardest.
