The Pedagogy of the Sakha Heroic Epic Olonkho within the Educational Process EKATERINA CHEKHORDUNA, NINA FILIPPOVA, AND DIANA EFIMOVA TRANSLATED BY JENANNE K. FERGUSON Abstract: This article discusses the normative and legal foundations, laws, principles, approaches, means and methods of organizing the educational process and analyzing the content of the authors’ ethno pedagogical program—Olonkho pedagogy. The article relies on the aspiration of ethnic groups to preserve their own distinctiveness and maintain their ethnic and cultural identity despite the current cir- cumstances of globalization. By basing its approach on the Sakha heroic epic tradition—the Olonkho—the article describes how this tradition can introduce children to ethnocultural traditions, customs, and ceremonial rituals. The article examines manifestations of civic and ethnic identity among students, as well as their values and at- titudes toward their native language and the cultural and historical heritage of their ethnic group. Keywords: ethnodidactics, Olonkho, Olonkho pedagogy, Olonkho values, Sakha, spiritual and moral development n the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), one of the promising areas of ethnocultural education over the past two decades has been the intro- Iduction of the Olonkho—the Sakha heroic epic—into the educational system. During this time, the pedagogy of the Olonkho has not lost its depth or relevance; on the contrary, every year the interest of children, youth, and adults in the inexhaustible riches of their native language and native culture grows. This is evidenced by a steady increase in quality in the ways the epic is used in various spheres of society. The Sakha heroic epic Olonkho is an ancient genre of oral folk art.

OICA Round Table “The World Auto Industry: Situation and Trends” Green car market situation and policies in Russia Igor Korovkin Yuri Kravtsov Seoul, 23 October 2014 1 CURRENT SITUATION ON THE GREEN VEHICLE MARKET IN RUSSIA MOTOR VEHICLES ON ALTERNATIVE FUELS The current parc of CNG-fueled commercial vehicles in Russia is about 86,000 units, or 1.5% of the total CV fleet. Until recently, no one OEM produced gas-fueled vehicles, all of them being retrofitted by a few small businesses. At present, CNG-fueled CVs are manufactured by 7 Russian OEMs belonging to either GAZ Group (GAZelle vans, Ural trucks, PAZ, LiAZ and KAVZ buses) or KAMAZ Group (KAMAZ trucks and NEFAZ buses). However, the total annual oputput of CNG-fueled vehicles still does not exceed 5000 units. HYBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLES (HEV) Conventional hybrids are mainly passenger cars. Their sales were 1307 units in 2013 and 631 units in January-August 2014. Eight brands are selling in this segment, the biggest share (over 80%) being cartured by Lexus. All hybrids are imported ones. Source: AEB PLUG-IN HYBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLES (PHEV) AND FULL BATTERY-ELECTRIC VEHICLES (BEV) The Russian market of EVs charged from the electrical grid is in its first stages. The number of plug-in hybrids sold in Russia was only 6 units in 2013 and 193 units in January-August 2014, while the sales of all-electric cars were 118 units in 2013 and 72 units in 2014. The plug-in hybrids sold were mostly Infiniti-branded, and the sales of all-electric cars were divided between the i-MiEV model from Mitsubishi and the EL LADA from AVTOVAZ.

Floods play a significant role in terms of damage and safety during construction and operation of crucial objects such as a bridge over the Lena river and underwater crossings of trunk pipelines in the North and the Arctic. A rapid rise of spring high water on the Lena river is due to accelerated melting of snow in a basin and a meridional flow direction of the river. If flood control measures are not taken, then severe economic and social consequences are inevitable, especially in places with complex infrastructure. As, for example, heavily populated cities, the strategically important objects, the underwater crossings of the trunk pipelines, bridges and power lines. This paper presents results of a study of a possibility of use of neural network algorithms to predict danger of the flood from the spring high waters on a section of the Lena river based on statistical archival data obtained over 70 years and an assessment of effectiveness of the neural network approach.
